I purchased this for several uses. 1. Keep feral cats out of my garden and keep them from destroying my flowerbed 2. Keep any predator away from my chicken coop because I didn't feel like digging the chicken wire down 2 ft underground. -Does it work for the above mentioned? YES! -Is it easy to use? YES! Just unroll and use the provided stakes to hold it down -Can it be cut to size? YES! Kitchen scissors will cut through this with no problem. -Will it hurt my pets? It won't puncture skin, but it is not a pleasant feeling. Imagine walking on a pile of Legos, barefoot. That's how this feels. It's not at all pleasant. -Would I purchase it again? ABSOLUTELY! This is a fair price for the amount that you receive. I've purchased others and they aren't very wide and only provide short segments. The shipping was fast because it's a Prime product and it's durable. I purchased 3 of these so far. Will eventually purchase more.

My dilemma *was* that my island counter stools are low enough to be used as a stairway to the counter by our two cats; I love our two kitties to bits, BUT there's No Way I'll ever let them get onto my kitchen counters!! I tried foil and grocery bags of empty water bottles,etc...besides being a cluttered-eyesore, their duration of effectiveness was always short-lived. Now, for two months, the Scat Mat(cut to size for each stool) has worked brilliantly! I got the clear color to reduce its visibility, and I'm satisfied, esp. since it deters my cats COMPLETELY! (It may not be 100% purr-ty, lol, and to some, it may seem cruel, but it only took one lesson for my smart cats to learn that the stools are now off limits, and it sure gives me peace of mind for sanitary counters! No regrets).

While this is working great across the front of my new white sofa, it does take a while to relax from the curled shape of shipping, but curling it backwards for awhile helps. Not too much though, mine snapped in half. The other thing is... The plastic spikes are LONG - 1 inch - and fairly sharp/pointy. My 14 yr old cat puntured his paw apparently, he has been limping since the first time I put it out at night to discourage him from jumping up there. He's starting to get better after 4 days, but I felt really bad for doing that to him! Beware!

I bought this because we have 2 stray cats on my block that wander in and out of every neighbors yard. According to the town, they can't take them off the street, not sure why. Unless they are harming people, they said just let them be. Anyway i have a sports car, my pride and joy. Unfortunately i don't have a garage. I parked my car in the rear of the house with a car cover over it. The past 12 months or so my security camera detects motion in my backyard where my car is around 11pm, 1am, even as early as 4am. It's one of the stray cats that is making it's way from backyard of the house on the next street, right into my backyard. The only way for the cat to successfully make the transition from one backyard to mine, is he has to use the gate dividing the 2 backyards and land on my car, whether it's the rear hatch or the roof to complete the jump, then he can just hop off the car. From the security video, it's a skinny cat. So i would imagine only 10lbs. And i know i don't have to worry about the scratches, it's the dents the cat could put into my car. Luckily there are none so i'm grateful for that. I bought this, i had to buy a total of 5 of them, to create a HUGE blanket that will basically be a cover, for my car cover. I bought this march 11. Today, i went to put my car away, since it's only a weekend car, and i went to put the scat mat blanket on top of the cover and it was deteriorating. It was breaking in my hands as i was handling it. The past week or so we had a heat wave. Temps reaching 100-105 heat index every day. It was pretty bad. I know this is the reason why this scat mat, which is plastic, is breaking. The heat probably destroyed this thing, making it brittle. So i can't blame the product entirely. My rating is merely due to the longevity of it. I wish i got at least a year out of it. Because at this price, buying 5 of them, is 100 bucks, just to last 4 months? That's expensive. So i don't know if i should source a more durable one, to at least last 8-12 months, or keep buying this and hope it'll last longer as summer is approaching a close. Either or, this product suits better indoors. Mother nature will destroy this thing in no time.

I didn't need it for my cat so my daughter in law used it for another uninvited guest. The points are sturdy and a little sharp. Handle carefully.

Installed at the base of a bird feeder, within 2 days there was a 12 inch hole chewed through it. By the time I removed it, the largest piece that was left was 6 inches square, with many, many pieces within a 5 foot diameter area. Between squirrels and raccoon, they just stepped in the spaces between the 'spikes', that were so brittle that the pieces were everywhere. Perhaps it might work for a cat, a small cat, and maybe a dog, but as soon as they get stuck with the 'spikes', they will just tear it up, very flimsy. Besides the product itself, the package arrived with no directions on how to install, there was plenty of room on the wrap, someone in the company must have a thing about saving ink.

Have a problem with raccoons using my pool as a bathroom, a common problem in South Florida. Unfortunately, the motion sensor spray system I had installed and worked well for a year did not deter some of the more determined and clever raccoons that worked out they had time between the sensor activations to nip into the pool, do their business and hop out avoiding the sprays once they get out. Raccoons paw pads are very sensitive so tried the scat mats at first on the pool edge which did not work, they hopscotched their way round and into the shallow end. So transferred and fitted enough mats together to fit in the shallow end shelf. Result, after a couple of attempts witnessed on my security camera, they avoid the pool completely now. The mats are not cheap but a lower cost than calling in the trapper.

Compré este producto porque mi padre estaba harto de que mi gata se metiera a motor y de tener rayado el cofre. Ya no quería a mi gata cerca, entonces encontré este producto y ha funcionado completamente, mi gata ya no se sube al cofre ni se mete al interior de este. Se le ha pasado el enojo a mi padre.

Lo compré para evitar que los gatos de mis vecinos se suban a mi auto, primero dañaron la pintura del cofre, luego la funda, entonces puse este tapete sobre el cofre y quiero creer que está funcionando, lo incomodo es tener que ponerlo todas las noches pero parece que ya no se suben, por eso recomiendo este producto, por el momento me mantiene sin usar métodos letales contra los desagradables y sucios gatos. Es de plástico sencillo, osea para este uso espero me dure un tiempo porque soy cuidadoso pero es de un material similar a las cañastillas donde luego venden fresas, viene un rollo qué puedes recortar, de tamaño son como unos 40cm y de largo me alcanzó para dos cofres de auto puesto de manera horizontal.

Cumplió con mis expectativas. La usé en un árbol para q mis 6 gatos no lo treparán y a mí me funcionó muy bien, claro q usé clavos diferentes a los q anexan a la alfombrilla. Y como observación, al tronco del árbol donde utilice la alfombrilla, no le da sol directo. Por lo pronto digo q es buen producto, mas no sé cuánto tiempo durará en buenas condiciones,
