This is by far the best laundry basket ever, ever! It is well worth the extra money because it is so durable and will last forever. The size is great. You can get a full load in it. The way that it rests on your hip makes it easy to carry, and the handles do not dig in and hurt your hands.

he I bought one of these for my grandmother a few weeks ago, because I wanted her to have a real laundry basket. It's sturdy, and arrived in good condition. It can hold quite a few clothes, and feels nice. The handles feel almost "grippy," and it's easy to hold up with your hip. You can get them cheaper at a brick and mortar store, but the price from Amazon isn't horrible.

Very functional and ergonomic for use in close quarters with heavy weights. I'm sure I'm not the only one to use this basket for multiple purposes. The handles assist your grip—they're heavy and durable, with little sign of cheaper manufacturing to shave a few pennies on construction—a dependable item.

I was so tired of baskets breaking within a year. This is a STURDY basket! Kinda pricey for sure, but I'll end up saving money in the long run since this one will last longer. I think I'm going to buy another one.

This is the real item: Rubbermaid and not a "bait and switch" as others complained. Have not owned it long enough to comment on durability. The basket is a little wider and I tend to scrape walls as I carry it.

Replacement for one I'd had for 20 years that had started to crack, they really last. New one exactly the same, study, easy to hold with the curve that goes by your side when carrying laundry. Can highly recommend.

None of them last forever, but a good laundry basket is easy to handle, is big enough for a load of laundry, and can be carried out to the clothesline full of wet clothes without damage to the clothes or the person carrying. This is in my experience the best option: it is more costly than the others up front, but sturdier and especially so in the handles, which are the weak point of any basket. It curves on one side to fit against the hip when carrying; the curve loses you a little in capacity, but gains you a lot in ease of carrying. Even a very full load from a front-loading washer can be piled up in the basket for carrying, but is a bit of a strain on both the basket and the person carrying it. I've had the basket for a couple of months before writing the review, and I've had recent experience with a less expensive brand (the handles of which broke in a matter of months) and before that, another Rubbermaid, which lasted much longer. An addition: My XL Hiphugger does not say how many litres, but gives the dimensions 53.7 x 50.6 x 28.4 cm (or 21.2 x 19.9 x 11.2 inches) on a sticker on the bottom. I noted when I bought it (Oct. 5, 2020), and as of March 28, 2021, it is in perfect condition though it has been carried with some very full heavy loads from the big front-loader washer out to the clothesline.
