YES!!! The Virbac C.E.T. System WORKS!!!!!
YES!!! They really work! Forget Greenies or whatever other chew you are using. The Virbac C.E.T.® Enzymatic Oral Hygiene Chews are truly amazing! HISTORY: During Sailor's annual physical our vet urged for a full teeth cleaning. During that visit I asked about what dental care products he recommended moving forward. Without hesitation he recommended both the CET Chews and Liquid AQUADENT and even provided me with informational pamphlets. OK. I thought perhaps some day that's what I will do. So, I called to make the appointment for Sailor's dental treatment and was told that the cost would be OVER $1,000.00 USD (i.e. NOT Pesos but Dollars). Screw that! ACTION: I immediately ordered both the Virbac C.E.T.® Enzymatic Oral Hygiene Chews and the C.E.T. AQUADENT. RESULTS: In less than 30 days Sailor's teeth show remarkable improvement...astonishing. As a side benefit, his breath is fresh and clean. ISSUES: At first Sailor was not overly enamored with the Chews and was somewhat fussy drinking the treated water. BE PATIENT. Within 5-10 days he now looks forward to his daily Chew and laps up his water enthusiastically. The Virbac C.E.T. system WORKS!!!!!!!

My picky dental disaster approves
After finding out my 2yr old had dental issues, and lots of visits to the vet/dentist. We take dental care extremely seriously. I was informed about some that can help from our veterinary dentist after the last cleaning. I was all for it. My picky dog actually prefers these to most other treats, and I think they actually reduce the amount of tartar in-between brushes while help keep his breath fresh. He loves the taste and they are awesome because it's a chew! What more can you ask for....

Pricey but satifying
Although these can get pricey, they seem to satisfy our pups desire to chew ( beats chewing on anything that is mine) She only weighs 20 lbs and goes through about one a day.

A real chew, but quality varies
The good: I have a big Lab, a small mixed breed momma and her two mixed breed rat terrier pups. I started giving them these chews years ago when my vet stocked them. (I like to support local businesses). But, I guess she was influenced by the advice of many to not give rawhide chews to dogs, and began to stock another product. That product was also labeled as a chew, but it was so quickly devoured, it's a treat, not a chew. So Amazon is my source now. Our daily routine is to make a morning walk for exercise, return home for their breakfast and then a chew to clean their teeth and satisfy the need to gnaw something. It's not uncommon for them to act more excited about getting their chew than their food! The lab gets a whole chew, each of the pups get 1/2 of a chew, and the momma being the smallest gets 1/3 of a chew. I use gardening shears to cut the chews. I do believe the advice that dogs benefit from having clean teeth, but I'm not one to try to brush their teeth, so I rely on the chews for cleaning. All four receive annual checkups with our vet, and rarely does she see the need for her to clean their teeth, and I attribute that to these chews. The not so good: Other than my Lab having a part of a chew lodge in the top of her mouth, they've never experienced problems by getting this chew every day. But my major concern preventing me from awarding 5 stars is there is too much variability of thickness of their chews. I compensate by giving the hefty ones to the Lab. I cut the thinner ones for the pups and their momma. Even though the package states the total weight of the chews, given that the number of chews rarely varies, then the weight cannot be trusted as being accurate. Summary: This is an effective and enjoyable chew for my sweet dogs. Until I can find a better product, I will continue using this one. (My dogs are smiling and totally agree with this review!)

Dogs love them. They’re good for their teeth
These chews are great! The vet recommends bc of the enzymes on the chews, helps with tartar. The dogs love them. Must watch them chew them bc they try to swallow it when it gets smaller as they chew it.

Serious choking hazard!
Edited UPDATE!! My original review is thrown out of the window. My dog has choked a total of 3 times now and regardless of the expense; they are going in the garbage. My dog IS a gobbler, I supervised him very well after he got a chew stuck twice. Even with intense supervision he still got a part of it stuck in the back of his throat choking him. It is dangerous. Please don’t give this to any size dog. I included a tape measure to show he tried to swallow in a picture. When it gets well chewed, it is softer and more pliable on the outer part of it. He thinks he can swallow it and it goes all the way across the back of this throat cutting off his airway. Please be very careful with this product!! I hope my vet takes my fear seriously enough to not recommend this!! Please read the entire review. Stars don’t really matter with this product!! I purchased this product on the recommendation of my dog’s veterinarian. Of course, the price point is much better for my budget on Amazon. The recommendation was combined with a dental chew by the same company that I purchased at the same time and have used in tandem for my 11 year old APBT. He has always had very bad breath; despite vet sedated cleanings. My dog loves to “get his lick on” and as he ages, his saliva has only gotten worse. My husband is his designated lickee that bears the brunt of the endless licking. My hubs has been complaining more and more about his breath and at my dog’s yearly visit, the vet told us to give it a try. It has taken 2 weeks, but there is definitely a difference. Again, I’m using 2 chews together. Since it’s working, I’m not switching things up for trial and error. I hesitantly recommend these rawhide like chews (treats). They are working; however, he has swallowed the last piece and the chew has been stuck all the way across the back of his throat, choking him, twice. Both times, I have had to reach in and pull the softened last piece out of the back of his throat. These chews are thick and very stiff at first and become pliable as it is chewed. He is a “gobbler” and swallows the last bit before he it has been chewed enough to be swallowed down. It would be so easy to just give him a chew and let him enjoy it on his own. DO NOT give this unattended. The first time, I thought it was a 1-off. The second time it happened, I know that it will happen again. This is not an inexpensive “treat” and it’s working. My dog treats it like it’s a last meal. There is pretty much no smell and he goes through all of his commands and slides across the floor and jumps on his bed for it every night when I open the bag. I now sit with him and monitor his chewing the entire time a treat is out. I take away the last bit before he has the chance to swallow it and choke. I put it on a paper towel to dry out to give it to him the next day with absolutely no problem. This has prevented his choking and there have been no further incidents. My dog is 65 pounds with a big head and I can shove my hand down his throat easily. If I had a smaller dog, I don’t think I would use it. Again, I can only recommend this, under very close, constant monitoring. I rated it 3 stars for the efficacy of the chew, which is working. I would use extreme caution.

a little pricey , is and understatement
There not your regular rawhide chews, as they really force them too use their teeth and gums to get soft, and they can seem to digest ok
