Waterproof, Without An Added Rain Fly
I have this Nelson-Rigg SE-3060 Black/Grey Hurricane Dual Sport/Enduro Waterproof Tank Bag installed on a pair of CSC motorcycles, a 2015 RX3 and 2020 RX4. I was looking for something completely waterproof, with no need for an extra cover, that could fit a Nikon D3500 DSLR with an installed 18-140 mm zoom lens and this fills the bill. There is just enough room for the camera with the lens installed, with some other odds and ends thrown in, while the bag is not so large that it blocks any of the bikes controls or the view of the instrument cluster. This is a strap mounted bag only; it does not have any magnets for mounting to steel fuel tanks. The bag attaches to the straps with plastic quick release buckles. The straps have elastic keepers that join them together in pairs and prevent them from falling down into the frame of the motorcycle when the bag is removed. The zippers are waterproof and thus stiff; there is also a lip of material that folds down over the zippers for further water resistance if needed. I keep mine folded up mostly, to allow ease of use of the zipper. The materials used appear to be high quality, with no issues with any of the stitching that I could find. The bottom of the bag is very soft, to avoid marring the paint on the fuel tank. There is an adjustable internal divider that is held in place by velcro so you can segregate things into two different sized compartments, if you so desire. The internal dimensions are 8"L x 5"W x 4"H. Total internal volume is 2.6 Liters. Also, the clear map cover is touchscreen friendly, so you can slip your phone of GPS under it and still be able to use it. This is a great choice if you are too lazy to be bothered with a separate rain fly, as provide with most standard nylon tank bags, as I am. I've had things get damp or wet one time too many, thus from here on out I am spending the extra money to get waterproof tank bags from the get go. FYI - Nelson Rigg also makes a larger version, the SE-3070 that holds 11 Liters, if you need more volume. They also make a set of replacement straps, if yours get damaged or if you want to use one bag with multiple bikes. You have to order them from their site directly.

Nelson rigg tank bag.
Put on my honda crf230f. Fit great. Easy installation. Just the right size. I Can still slide forward. My phone works fine under the clear plastic and like the waterproof feature. The excess on the straps is kind of a pain to deal with but not much of an issue. This is my second nelson rigg product and i find them to be good quality and reasonably priced. Really like this tank bag.

Well made ++
2016 XT250 Well made, easy to install and stays in place. Does not get in the way either sitting or standing and holds your basics. A bit small and a bit hard to access the contents, but you know that going into it. It is all a trade off for discreet and waterproof. I waffled hard on tank bags finally decided on this one. I am very happy with my purchase and would not change a thing for this bike as I use it for trails and utility rides around my town. I think it looks good too.

Nelson Rigg Dual Sport Bag
Pros: Very well waterproofed, I have zero fear of my phone getting wet with this bag. Mud, water and rain don't worry me like a handlebar phone mount would. Its shape makes it slender enough to get your legs forward when trying to stand over the tank of the bike. You can tell its there, but it doesn't really get in the way when trying to dig your knees into the tank. Refueling is pretty easy. Just disconnect the front two buckles and lift the bag vertically to expose your fuel cap. When done refueling, just flip the bag back down and clip the front buckles back in. Cons: I will say that in the 3 years I have had this bag, I have had it replaced under warranty twice now. Both times the zipper started to separate from the rest of the bag in a corner. Phone slot size is just big enough for my S21+ to squeeze in and still get the Velcro closed even with a slim case. Any phone that is taller than that or has a thicker case will not probably not fit. Recap: I originally ordered this bag in 2021 for my WR250R, and I will say I have been pleasantly surprised with both the product and Nelson Riggs customer support. I think this is a good bag for the money. Compared to how much other brands are, this one offers a lot of value for the dollar. One other thing to also note is the customer service. Both times the zipper separated, I filled out the warranty claim on their website, and the next day I was contacted by the warranty department. By the day after, I had a tracking number and my replacement bag was shipped. Now, is a higher end bag like a Giant Loop objectively more durable? Yes. But if its worth the extra money to someone just starting out, is a matter of opinion. My thought is why spend the extra money when the company so far has stood behind their warranty. If this bag is what's in your price range, its a hard one to beat.

Easy Install, Great Product
This bag is perfect for adding a bit of additional storage on your bike without sacrificing mobility. Taller bags make it difficult to be in the correct position while riding off road. I rode with this bag on some gnarly single track last weekend and didn't even notice it was there. Getting gas is as simple as unbuckling two of the straps, and the stretchy bits they send with the bag keep your buckles within reach for easy reattachment after you have your tank full and closed up! I can use the touchscreen on my iphone with my gloved hand (not as well as with an ungloved hand) but it does work when I need to do simple things. The waterproofing does indeed work. Rode with my phone in this through a HEAVY downpour, and when I got home, the only water in the bag had dripped off of my saturated hands while retrieving my phone. The space inside the bag is about what you would expect. I can fit a small water bottle in here, but larger sports cap style water bottles can fit too! Just drink a little bit out of the top, crush it down a bit, seal it with the air pushed out and BAM, you are ready to hit the road. Be safe out there friends!

Solid tank bag for heavy off-road use
Great product, thoughtful design and quality build. Perfect size for my DRZ400 to give a little extra convenient storage on the trails without being too bulky and impeding movement around the bike in more technical terrain. The bag stays put through rough riding and the elastic retainers keep the clips where they should be when you remove the bag for refueling, etc. Haven’t had a chance to test the water-proofing, and the top window plastic doesn’t really work too well with my phone (which also has a screen protector), but neither of those are very important to me. Especially at this price point, I definitely recommend this tank bag!

5 stars for quality and customer service
Rigg Gear is fantastic! Honestly the quality and design features are fantastic for the price. You could expect to pay more for a premium brand and not get the same quality product. The mounting straps fit securely around crash bars or other points on the bike. Super strong zipper with a flap to keep out dust. It's big enough to keep the essentials and a bit more. My only beef is that if I want to ride without the tank bag I need to remove the straps that it buckles into. I don't want to risk them flapping around like a fish on dry land. I looked at making a strap that would secure them in place but in the end I just contacted the manufacturer directly. They were super helpful and agreed to send me the buckles I needed to secure the straps together when the bag is not on the bike. I just needed to pay shipping. Great product, great customer service and the price beats other competitors. I also have the soft panniers and have been very very happy with them on many rides.

Good purchase
I used this product on my bike, a Honda CB500X 2023 model and it looks good. Able to keep your wallet, gloves and sunglasses comfortably and tested in very heavy downpour typical of the equator. Material is durable and i feel that it can withstand a lot of abuse. Definitely will recommend it.

Great little tank bag
Fitted to my 2021 KTM 690 Enduro that has the Rade underseat tank. Perfect size for putting essentials in, doesn't interfere when standing on the pegs and appears to be well made. Very happy with the purchase.
