This stand will do the job!
I was impressed with this compact stand. It fits perfectly inside the bell for travel. The legs retract nicely into the base of the stand. For the size, I though it held my horn fairly well. It's not knock over proof, but as long as you make sure the horn is stable, it's fine.

Well-Designed Tenor Sax Stand
I may be one of the first to review this new LA Sax Tenor Stand. I took a chance ordering it, since I couldn't find reviews on the web. I am a mechanical engineer, a jazz sax and piano player, and I take my equipment very seriously...only wanting to own the very best. I can tell you that this stand is exceptionally well-designed, it holds my Yamaha Custom EX tenor very securely, and fits easily into the bell in its velure bag. I also have a metal Stageline stand and this new LA Sax stand holds my tenor just as securely, if not more securely. I won't be able to use it on a gig until next weekend, but I am looking forward to many good years of service. The people at LA Sax deserve high regard for this design!

I've tried 3 or 4 brands of "in the bell" sax stands, and this is the best one, by a significant margin.I was surprised as it isn't (to me) what looks like the cutest or most aesthetic or concinnitous design.But it does in fact work better in several ways than the competitor's designs.Very quick to set up, very stable, and seems like it will last forever.One problem - the sliding piece can come off and get lost - so be careful.UNFORTUNATELY, they seem to have stopped making this stand. I'll get another if I can find one on ebay.Update: This design is available again from another brand - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016ZNAUK
