Kian: The Boundarylands Omegaverse: A Dark and Spicy Fated Mate Alpha Fantasy Romance

This first book in the Boundarylands Omegaverse is straight to the storyline, no add-ons that don't fit. Great characters. MFC maybe scared in the beginning, she's still strong, not whiny and timid like some. Great reading. Thank you, author.

Think of this book as the world where alphas and omegas exist you don't know you're one but you will find out if you are an omega once you meet your alpha. Another thing. You're nothing more than an animal. You don't exist anymore. What you want doesn't matter. You could try to escape your fate but you can't. You exist only for the alpha and for pleasure. The sex is wild although I would have had the author actually explore the sex more thoroughly since its the focal point of the whole thing, which is why I down rated from five to four stars. I mean why create a book that a - is smut and b-whole point is to breed, only to skimp out when it comes to the smex scenes? Still an enjoyable read and I am going forward to read the next book in the series so I enjoyed it enough to continue on. I recommend this omegaverse romance.

Why such annoying female characters? The kind you want to punch in the face. The premise has potential. But the characters are really unlikable. I would complain about shallow character development but I disliked them so much I was glad. I finished the book 2 minutes ago and already forgot the girls name.

I purchased this book on a whim - I like werewolf-related, paranormal books in general and I thought the plot was interesting but since I didn't know the author I didn't know what to expect. It appears that I was in for a treat! I really loved the story! The writing style was great, the plot flowing and full of action and enough steam to satisfy me as a reader. The werewolf world was refreshing and interesting - a bit different than most. In this book, Alphas are isolated in a place called the Boundarylands and Beta females could be Omegas but won't know it if they don't meet an Alpha - which they try to avoid at all cost since they are taught from a young age that their fate then would be hideous. So Kian and Paige meet under very stressful circumstances - with her ex-fiancée chasing her, forcing her to seek refuge in the Boudarylands. His touch shows her that he is it for her. How will everything unfold? Can Kian protect her from not only her vengeful fiancée, but from a villain no one saw coming - or at least believing could be that cruel and uncaring toward her? I couldn't put my kindle down. I am looking forward to read the rest of the books in the series. 5 stars.

I never tire of the different twists authors in this genre create. I liked the idea of the Betas brainwashing the betas/one has into believing all Alphas are mindless savages. The notion that Beta females can become One has once they've come in contact with an Alpha is a new concept to me, but it seemed believable. Paige is a bit fear driven and can be a bit...naive, but she grows on you as the story unfolds. Kian is pretty awesome. All Alpha, but he is also so patient and caring with Paige. I'm glad that there are several books in this series, because I can continue on to the next one.

What would you do if you learned everything that you'd been told all of your life was a lie? Paige found out the "hard" way when she landed in the Boundarylands. This story is a little bit suspenseful and a little bit hot, but it's a lot entertaining.

I love this book and I look forward to reading the next ones so much. If you are a romance reader and like omegaverse this will be a great book to get you out of a reading slump. This book also has a good amount of dystopian aspects which makes me give it a 5 star. As well as the fact that the book has a lot of plot and a real society (with issues) and storyline. Overall, if you like omegaverse books you will like this book and probably this whole series, and this was an amazing way to start off the series.

This shifter romance is pretty intense. In this series, the omegas and betas are taught to fear alphas and avoid them at all costs. As a benefit to the betas, women stay as far away from alphas as possible. Omegas are thought to be scarce because their omega side doesn't show itself until they come in contact with an alpha. Alphas are pretty much forced live on their own in the boundarylands making it impossible to find an omega. In this series, there are no packs, just separation from alphas. The way the FMC finds her alpha is intense and entertaining. I will be reading the next one and I would recommend this book. Thank you Callie Rhodes.

MINI SPOILER! Die Reihe startet mit 160 Seiten und bringt damit ein paar schöne Lesestunden. Die englische Version ließ sich easy lesen, also traut euch ruhig dran - es lohnt sich! Das war mein erstes Buch der Autorin und ich liebe, liebe, liebe den Schreibstil und die ganze Story! Es war einfach so rund und stimmig - ein Träumchen! Das ganze Konstrukt um Alphas, die abgelegen vom Rest der Zivilisation leben, war für mich super gemacht. Sonst sind es ja immer die Alphas, die alles regieren und beherrschen, hier sind es die zahlenmäßig überlegenen Betas. Alphas aber sind zu ursprünglich, zu wild und animalisch, und gar nicht für das normale Leben in der Stadt gemacht. Ein einfaches, aber einsames Leben in den Wäldern der Grenzgebiete, in die sich niemand traut, weil über Jahrzehnte die schrecklichsten Geschichten über Sie verbreitet wurden. Da erwartet man irgendwie gleich diese schon totgekauten Alphas, die zu dominant sind. Zu harsch. Zu bestimmend. Zu brutal. Doch auch wenn Kian all das ist, ist er auch extrem beschützend und seine softe Seite gehört ausschließlich Paige. Und Paige lernt schnell, das sich unterordnen nicht heißt, ein Sklave zu sein, sondern sie versorgt, geschätzt, behütet und begehrt wird. Diese ganze männliche und weibliche Energie wird so wunderschön und völlig sinnig erklärt und auch so ausgeführt, dass man sich selbst ins Grenzgebiet wünscht. 🥰🤭 Das Cover ist... naja... schon 1 Mio Mal gesehen, oder? Grässlich, dass jedes Buch irgendwie gleich aussieht. Da sitzen Autoren ewig an einer Geschichte und investieren gefühlt 5 Minuten fürs Cover (oder wer auch immer das hier entschieden hat), das diese Geschichte repräsentieren soll... Nackter Oberkörper, Tribal drauf + Mond - fertig. 😩 Ü18 Szenen gibt es, ABER es ist endlich mal wieder ein Buch, in dem nicht jede Stellung ausgeschlachtet wird. Auch gibt es hier keine endlosen Seiten vollgestopft mit detailliertem Smut. Und das war so erfrischend und angenehm zu lesen. 🥰 Kurz und knapp mit Fokus auch die emotionale Bindung. Und jetzt der einzige Minuspunkt, der mich echt traurig gemacht hat... Da ist kein Wolf 😢 KEIN. WOLF. Warum??? Wenn man zu lange drüber nachdenkt, sind die Alphas hier nur extrem territoriale Männer, die zu gut riechen können und körperlich sehr viel stärker sind. Selbst am Schluss hatte ich noch auf eine Wandlung gehofft... Aber nö. Macht es da überhaupt Sinn, es unter übernatürliche/Fantasy Romane einzuordnen? Irgendwie nicht, in meinen Augen. Hab schon duzende von SEAL-Romanen gelesen und das matched sich ganz gut. Das war für mich wirklich ein Knackpunkt. 😞 Fazit: Absolut zu empfehlen! Eine spannende Story, mit Aktion, viel Gefühl und Gefahr und etwas Spice. Gönnt euch, Ladys! ❤️ Und haltet euch an die Reihenfolge - die Charaktere tauchen immer mal wieder in den anderen Geschichten auf!

Short but powerful, that is this book. Although it is a short story, it is clearly written and lacks nothing. It is an exciting and spicy omegaverse in a dystopian world.
