I’ve been using this safety razor for a while now, and overall, I really like it. A lot of people mention getting cuts, but I personally found it relatively easy to use and didn’t experience too many nicks. As long as you take your time and use light pressure, it provides a smooth shave without much irritation. One thing I noticed, though, is that while the razor does cut well, sometimes it doesn’t give me as close of a shave as I’d like. I still see a little stubble left behind, which can be a bit frustrating. At first, I thought it was just the blade getting dull, so I swapped it out for a fresh one, but after a short time, the issue would return. I use my blades a bit longer than recommended, so that could be a factor, but I do wish it maintained its sharpness for longer. That being said, the razor itself is well-made, sturdy, and easy to install and replace blades. Just be careful when swapping out the blades so you don’t accidentally cut yourself. I also appreciate that this is an eco-friendly option compared to disposable razors. Overall, this is a good safety razor that’s easy to use and feels durable, but I do wish it provided a more consistently close shave. Still, for the price and sustainability factor, I would recommend it!

How smooth and wonderful! I had used a straight razor for nearly 40 years. At retirement I sold it off and thought I would just use cartridge razors since I didnt need to shave everyday and there is some maintaince needed on straight razors. Bought a well known brand of cartridge shaver. I HATED IT! Burned my face, my shave was never really smooth even right after shaving and I had to keep a little brush near by because the cartridges would always get clogged. HATE THEM. While I was sitting around regretting selling my razor I remembered my dad using a safety razor and spent hours looking at options and bought this one. I like that it is a model where the handle screws in and secures the blade. While I thought hard about the butterfly models I decided that simple was good for longevity. Moving things eventually break. The handle tightens down nicely and puts a nice downward curve too the razor. The razor looks and feels outstanding. It has some real heft to it. The top is beautifully smooth and the knurling is awesome and the scalloping on the head looks great. Just really surprised by the quality for some $20. So .. Important info .. Just had my first shave. Oh my goodness is this thing smooth. After my first stroke I thought I had done something wrong as it didn't feel like it cut anything only to get closer and realize that there was a perfectly smooth patch where I had dragged it. Amazing! I didn't even feel it. So thrilled with the quality and at least for now the blades are wonderful. Just like when I shaved with a straight razor my shave is ultra close. My old face feels like new soft skin. Because you dont need to keep passing over the same area to get a nice shave there is almost no shave burn. Took me a while to choose but I am glad I decided on this razor. Love the feel, the looks, the weight, the blades and the fact that with this blade mounting system there is no chance of the blade walking around and potentially hurt me.

Quality of the razor feels great. It’s heavyweight, sturdy, and easy to use. I’ve been using for a few months and while it does shave great-I’ve found my facial hair is more prone to getting ingrown hairs compared to using standard disposable razors (which rarely happened until now). Will I be restocking on the blades? Probably NOT…And yes, I use shaving cream, used each blade per the recommended method, cleanse after, and still get ingrowns. It’s safe to say, I think I’ll go back to disposables.

I looked at few different razors before settling on this one. The main draw being the price and the packaging. It comes with one blade included and any safety razor blades will fit. The razor is a very nice quality, clearly made quite well. The texture of the handle makes it easy to hold (I shave with oil, so can get slippy, but this holds up well). Easy to change to blades and clear any build up by unscrewing the head. It has a nice weight to it which is perfect as safety razors use the weight to cut the hair (rather than you applying pressure) I store my razor in a caddy in the shower and I haven’t seen any evidence of erosion or tarnish on the metal. I’ve had it about 2 months now. Over all a nice product, well priced in comparison to similar offerings. Great for cutting down plastic waste and just saving money on shaving products. I would recommend looking up some guidance on using a safety razor as it is a different technic and you can cut yourself easily if you try and use it like a Venus. It is easy once you have the main tips. I do use this for my legs, under arms and bikini. Again, I looked up some tips just to make sure I didn’t cut myself. I would maybe be careful for younger or first time shavers.

My first try with this razor and I didn't cut myself at all! It actually has a really good guide on how to use it and store it. I reccomend reading it first. Not sure about the reviews of it not screwing up all the way, but mine isn't painted so I don't have a problem with it

LADIES - I DIDN'T GET RAZOR BURN! I've been wanting to try a safety razor for years because I want to reduce my plastic usage but I was so scared. It's NOT scary!! I didn't cut myself (I was verryyy slow when shaving) and the results are great! You barely have to put any pressure on the skin because the weight of the razor does the work for you. Another amazing bonus is that it didn't irritate my skin!! Usually I'm prone to razor bumps in the bikini zone but I didn't get any. I didn't even know it was possible. I don't know if it is because you don't have to use a lot of pressure or that there is only one blade so it's less irritating? But to not have any irritation after shaving is such a relief, especially for the summer when I'll be wearing bikinis. The weight of the handle feels sturdy in the hand and very high quality. I wish I switched earlier because as an added bonus this razor looks really sleek in the bathroom, much better than the colourful plastic types. Definitely recommend this razor.
