Is this too small for a squirrel? i see that someone else caught squirrels, but i am in se texas and they can get pretty big.

I do not try to catch squirrels but indeed caught them. I agree if you are trying to catch squirrels pick a different trap.

How do i open the trap. the directions are inside the sealed shut trap. i dont want to force it open. and there is no handle? help

that thin bar across the bottom of the door slides up and then the door opens. Yes, don't force it.
