Won't be disappointed
Wow! I have a 26lb mini golde doodle, who has a coat with tighter curls around the shoulders to the head and face. His torso is wavy, and hips and back end are fleece fuzzy. I've used 2 types of clippers, most recent being oneisall. Those stopped working mid groom, and after five uses, just quit having power even when plugged in directly. I did research, and landed on this one. Woah! I did a quick brush just before usingot, and it glided through his hair like silk. After the first pass from his neck to back end without catching, or tangling, I was blown away. I found myself going really quick , in case it stopped working as well, but that never happened. It was the smoothest, most even cut I've ever given him. The clippers aren't that loud, they did amazing on his paw pads, sanitary areas, and I love the different lengths of the blade to use with the guards. I did a full body clip using the blade setting on 30, and used the 12 guard with it. Its a great length for a summer cut, short, but not scalped. I cleaned the blade, used a small drop of oil on each side of blade to lube it back up before storing away, and hoping it makes grooming this effortless every time. Was easy to hold, spin around in hand to reach different areas, and when pairing this set if clippers with the jellyfish dog blow dryer. My grooming time was cut in half. Loved it!

Great Dog Trimmer! (batteries have issues)
One of the best purchases I've made in a long time! There are so many of these gadgets out there to choose from, try this one! It's got a strong motor, it's quiet, it's not too big, so you can sneak behind the ears, and it's super sharp and doesn't bog down when there's a big ball of clotted, mangled, matted fur hidden behind the ears! You can nudge your way though a mat easily. This is a tool like no other. The unit can be safely used for short clipping with no guard, as it has a permanent guard built-in with a little slider to adjust it. The convenience of that single, thoughtful feature makes this a great clipper. For my dog's back, I run a standard Wahl (human-variety) clipper which works great. But getting into the details, this smaller clipper does marvelously around the eyes, between toe pads, anywhere at all. It's accurate, sharp, easy to use. I'd recommend pairing this with any standard clipper. EDIT: I've had this trimmer for awhile, using it maybe a half dozen times for dog grooming. The batteries, both of them, are suddenly useless. I don't know if it's the charger, though the charger lights up as expected when you drop a battery in. I ordered two new batteries today for forty dollars. What a shame.

Awesome Clipper!!
After adopting our first doodle, I was excited to welcome a dog into the family. However, no one ever tells you about how matted they get from a young age. After trying all the detangling shampoos and magical brushes, I decided just to have my doodle professionally groomed.Despite this, after paying a hefty sum regularly to have my doodle groomed, I was determined to do it myself. While I’m not a professionally trained groomer, I would call myself proficient with dog clippers after watching countless Youtube videos. Over the years, I’ve tried many other dog clippers that were on the less expensive side. However, they were very loud and overheated too often. When I found these dog clippers on Amazon I decided to give them a shot because they were highly rated. The soft case that comes with the kit isn’t too bulky and fits all of the parts perfectly. For the most part I’ve been nothing but pleased. The clippers themselves are lightweight and require some pressure to activate the on-switch (other brands have a power button right where you hand rests and can be annoying). I thought professional grade clippers would be even louder, but to my surprise these were on the quiet side. I also appreciate the blade adjustment along the underside of the clippers. It enabled me to get a clean, even, and precise cut that I’ve never experienced before. Having doodles means dealing with mats, but I was shocked to see how well these clippers cut through dreads. I recently adopted another doodle who is very skittish and I was eager to test out the clippers on him. While his fur is less curly because he is a sheepadoodle, the clippers still tackled those dreads very well. However, like most clippers, there are some flaws. I was disappointed to discover that these clippers overheat. I always check the temperature of the blades throughout the shaving process, so that my pup doesn’t get razor burn. The Wahl clippers began to warm up after thirty minutes of shaving. Not to mention, I did notice that in the especially dreaded areas they began to heat up faster. Therefore, I would recommend checking the clippers temperature frequently no matter your dog's hair type. Furthermore, while the Wahl clippers were cooling down I found lots of hair stuck in the base of the clippers. I had to really tug at it to finally get the fur off. I appreciate how the Wahl clippers come with two rechargeable batteries, however the charging base always glows red, no matter how long they have been charging. Despite this when I tested the batteries to see if they held the charge, they worked fine. Maybe it's just a design flaw? Overall, these Wahl clippers have proved to be a great investment into my dog's hair care. They cut through hair like butter and hold a nice charge. They aren’t too noisy which can often scare dogs and come with two rechargeable batteries which is a must when tackling multiple shaves in a day. Not everyone has the kind of lifestyle that can afford spending the time and money to shave your pet. But if you can, these clippers are the ones to invest in. While they have some minor flaws, their pros make them worth it.

From great starter clipper set to dead batteries 1.5 years later
Updated review after owning for 1.5 years: Batteries no longer hold a charge. I place them on the charger a day prior to clipping, keeping one of them on the charger right up until I am ready to groom. I get about 10 minutes of life from the battery that was just plugged in and when that dies, I try the other battery and it barely lasts a minute. Looks like new batteries are about $50. Wouldn't expect a battery to go dead this quickly. I store them inside (temp controlled) and have used the clippers about once a month to every month and a half for the last year and a half. I can no longer recommend this product based on the clipper battery life. I'd recommend these clippers for beginners as they are easy to use, decent price point and clip nicely. I purchased this clipper set to groom my standard poodle puppy. Prior to purchasing these clippers, I had never groomed a dog before so was looking for something that was easy to use and not going to break the bank in case I was an awful groomer and decided to send him to a professional. These clippers are super easy to use and come with all of the tools that you'll need. I've used them a handful of times and like keeping my dog's hair longer so will clip him about every 3 weeks. The combs that come with the clippers are plastic and they work, but I'd recommend getting metal combs if you plan on grooming regularly. Wahl sells metal compatible combs. Additionally the charge on the battery is very good. It comes with two batteries so you can replace it during a grooming session if needed. They take some time to charge fully but it's not a problem since you have two. Finally, the clipper sound is not too loud and it doesn't bother my dog. I got him used to the clipper sound first before actually grooming him (turn it on and feed him a bunch of treats) and then also touching him with it when it was off. Keeping a puppy still for any type of activity is tough of course and I didn't want to buy a table and restrict him so I purchased a suction cup mat, fill it with peanut butter and freeze it, stick it to a surface (or have somebody else help distract) and groom him while he stands on the floor.

Best clippers to use in a veterinary hospital
I am a CVT (certified veterinary technician) who works overnights at a busy 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital. I have used many different brands of clippers for various shaving tasks including but not limited to shaving for IV catheter placement, shaving margins for a major abdominal surgery, wound clip and clean, and ECG pad placement. This brand is BY FAR my favorite because of it being cordless and compact, which allows me to keep it in my pocket and have ready for a code AND it is the quietest which has been great for scared and sick animals at the hospital (especially cats and small mammals). It also gives a really close shave in my opinion, does not overheat (unlike many other brands), but the blades are sharp and can cut delicate skin or leave razor burn, if not careful. My only gripe is that that first pair I got from my hospital’s inventory manager (the golden pair), both battery packs failed to hold a charge after only having the clippers for <6 months. Putting a new battery pack in the clippers will make them work, but I’m not sure if the clippers themselves are what’s burning through the battery or if it’s the battery packs themselves. Other than that, they’re great. They are on the more delicate side though and seem to break easily if dropped. I would still buy again though!

if you groom your own pet this is a must own!
Let me start by saying that this thing is a battery GUZZLER! it comes with two batteries and I'm here to tell you that you will need both to even do a small dog. I own two shi-tzu and even though this thing melted through the hair like butter, I was only able to get 75% of my pup done with one battery. That being said I bought these as an upgrade to a pair of cheap AngFang clippers that took me almost 2 hours to cut that same pup and with the Wahls I was done in about 30 min with this set. That is the difference between a 50-dollar pair of clippers and 150. However, when you think about what one or two trips to a goomer will cost this investment will pay for itself after one use. Perhaps there are bigger Miliamp batteries for these that I haven't found so I will look However, the efficacy of the UNIT is amazing and worth the battery oversite for my size pups. My honest opinion is that if you own a Large fur breed like a lab you should look for the same standard of clipper but corded. the battery option will take you a long time since the charge time is 75 min per battery, even with one on the charger you wouldn't finish a large pup in one sitting.

A quiet and efficient workhorse.
Amazing clippers. Honestly, I wanted a 3 in 1 clipper that would clip the legs and face of my horse, basic clips on my Australian Shepherd and a full body clip on my Nigerian Dwarf Goat. After reading numerous clipper reviews, this seemed like the affordable all-purpose solution to my problems. I'm on a tight budget, and really needed to shave my goat before she kids. Almost as soon as the box arrived I had it lubed up and ready to go. It was smaller than I expected, but that made it easier to get into the hard-to-reach areas of a mini dairy goat udder. While I didn't do all three animals in a day, I could have. The clippers never ran hot, didn't run out of battery life and cut right through my Nigerian Goat's thick winter coat. It was her first clip, and I was trying to be extra cautious to keep from dropping the clippers, knowing that it would be certain death for the clippers if I did. To my horror, she kicked out (numerous times) and got the clipper head twice. It separated and the razor blade disconnected and fell without issue, leaving the mechanical body of the clipper in my hand, unharmed. I think if it wasn't so easy to pop the blade and clipper head on and off, that would have been the end of them, so bonus points for an easy to clean, easy to take apart clipper - because it happened more than once. I saw on a YouTube video that a groomer had taped the two together, so perhaps this feature causes problems for others and comes off too easily? My horse and dog were also un-fazed by the quiet efficiency of the clipper. I look forward to many years with the Wahl ARCO cordless clipper.

Best clippers ever!
I love these clippers and so does my Schnauzer! They're easy to use, light, flexible, fits hand nicely, quiet. I can pick them up anytime and do a little grooming and she doesn't mind. The double battery set makes it so easy when I forget to take it out. I am thrilled.

Wish I’d bought this one first
Love this for my working cocker, so much quieter than previous purchases, love the fact there’s 2 batteries so don’t worry about it stopping halfway through. I bought the metal attachments separately but find the plastic ones included in this set much better and smoother for her coat, they just glide through. She tolerates this one much better too, lovely cut, adjustable length and yes it’s more expensive but the quality, cut, ease of use and quiet operation easily makes it a valuable purchase. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money on cheaper ones that were noisy and fell apart after 3 uses.

Cuts fine cat fur so easy
This trimmer is so light and easy to use, just click on length clip and start cutting. I purchased after trying a hair trimmer on cat... It dint go well but this trimmer cut the hair like a hot knife through butter highly reccomend

Good quality clipper
I have used this clipper twice and it did a good job clipping my Standard Poodle. Clipper is comfortable to hold, not too noisy and didn't make my dog uncomfortable with excess vibration. Seems to be good quality and comes with extra rechargeable battery, blade oil, cleaning brush and three plastic clip on blades. I haven't tried the attachments but they did fit.
