While I am not going to say these are completely safe, after reading through articles it is important to note that the two chemicals in the collars have been around for 30 years and gave been used as flea/tick treatments for that long. We have no evidence suggesting that there is a danger to humans when used correctly. While I generally do not use flea products of any kind, this year, after not needing anything for over 10 years, is a bad year. I tried Frontline and it did nothing but turn one of my cats into a heap of sores. We are using this collar from here on out until the fleas are eradicated.
