I was very pleased with how well it held up
I go to the local animal shelter on Saturdays and play with the dogs. Not all of the dogs really understand toys and playing so I am always trying different things. I met one dog that just didn't seem to be interested in anything. I bought this toy to see if I could entice her to play. She immediately was drawn to this toy. It basically has everything and finally tug of war. This girl is a 60 pound pit bull and when I say we were playing tug of war, it was a war. I was very pleased with how well it held up. The basics of a good tug of war toy is the ability of both parties to get a good, comfortable grip and something that won't rip apart. I admit, I lost the battle and she gets a victory lap with the toy which she is slinging around, throwing up in the air and catching it. She is loving it and that was what I was after. We've been playing with this for about 3 weeks and it is still in good shape. Just a note, when I say playing with it, I don't just mean 1 dog, 5 or 6 dogs might be playing the same day and these toys really get a work out.

One dog's trash, another one's treasure!
My dog was not a big fan of this. I ended up getting a monkey design. It was cute, but my dog had no interest in it at all. He didn't understand how to play with it and just sorta looked at it with question marks all over his face. Lol He likes balls and sticks and stuff.. So I gave this to my uncle's little Boston Terrier.. Lol..My dog is a 150 lb rottweiler and great pyrenees mix... But my uncle's Boston Terrier absolutely LOVES this toy! It's his favorite thing. He tore it up and got all of the stuffing out of it within a few minutes, as well as the squeaker in the face... Lol.. But he totally loves it and takes it everywhere he goes. No, it doesn't look nice anymore, but he's still having fun with it a couple weeks after getting it. They don't have to be perfect for them to have fun! I'm considering getting another one for him, because he had such a great time with it. Lol

Authentic KONG toy at a great price
My pug is really picky with his toys, so I was worried he might not like this one because it has no legs. I shouldn't have worried. He tried to take it out of my hands before I could get it out of the package! I was really happy that I got the elephant one, since it gives him another appendage to chew on. It's definitely an authentic KONG product. The stitches are strong, and should last quite a while. It has squeakers at both ends. This toy is perfect for tug-o-war, either between a dog and owner or between 2 dogs. My Boston Terrier keeps trying to steal it from the pug, but she has a tendency to rip apart toys so we have to monitor her with it. Overall, I'm really pleased.

great for tug of war
My puppy love this toy. In fact I got two large one to have a replacement when this broke or if Kong discontinue like they often do ( Chase-It Wand Squeaking Dog Toy was a favorite of many dogs) We graduated from the medium to the large as she is growing.Perfect for tug of war thanks to the elastic "body", the stitching is quite resistant. It has a squeaker at each end,and it's light enough to throw and for the dog to carry comfortably in her mouth. The medium lasted multiple washing in the machine, and air dry fairly quickly. Now, please keep in mind that is made out of fabric and has some light stuffing at the ends, so if your dog like to destroy toys it probably will make short work of this.My dog only destroy stuff when she is bored, or if a puncture reveal the stuffing so I just don't leave stuffed toy available when she is unsupervised.

Fun for the dog but not durable
Man, I really love Kong as a brand. Growing up with dogs, my mom always stuffed those little rubber balls with peanut butter and get em to our dogs as treats. I do the same for my dog, and have started exploring other Kong toys now including this little Kong squiggle. When I think of Kong, I think of a product that is long lasting- and this just is not it. We’ve had this toy around a month and it’s almost made it’s way to the trash. My dog loves it, it just doesn’t last. In terms of durability I have to give it 2 stars, but I terms of likability I have to give it at least 4. She loves to play tug of war with it and chew it and cuddle it. If you’re just wanting a durable long toy that will last a few months, this just isn’t it though.

Yay - A Toy That Lasts!
I wanted to wait a bit to write this review so that I could give an honest opinion about how well this toy held up over time. I received it on November 6, 2013, so it's been two months. I have an 80 pound, 6 yr old pit bull that LOVES, and I do mean LOVES, to play tug. She's also a chewer. My girl goes through "indestructable" toys like tic tacs. Normally, I would not bother to buy a toy like this because I would consider it a waste of money. I have no idea what made me look at it, but I'm glad I did. I read the reviews and many people said that it held up well, even for "the chewers." We play tug with it every day (oh yay). Even the sweakers still work, although they're in pretty bad shape at this point - poor things. I don't allow her to tug at it for an indefinite period of time; I let the side I'm holding go after about 45 seconds - 1 minute and let it spring back on her, which she apparently loves because then she spends the next minute doing the death rattle on the poor thing and then we start the process all over again. Sometimes we even have a sweaker contest. She bites the sweaker on one end and I go at the one on my end. It sounds like an alarm clock on speed. Anyway, my point is that I am extremely impressed with the durability and quality of this toy. In my opinion, it is well worth the money.

Jack Russel Terrier loves it!
I bought this toy for my girlfriends jack russel terrier puppy (10 weeks) and he LOVED it from the moment I brought it through the door. Her dog, Sunny used to be more interested in biting hands than his toys, but now it seems like he'd rather play with this toy than biting hands! I can't blame him, the toy has a squeaker on either end and stretches by approximately 25%. It's bungy cord-like abilities makes it an extra interesting toy for Sunny to play with. 10/10 would buy again. Only reason we might have to buy another one is because it seems prone to holes and tears around the seams. It's been about 2 weeks and there are two tiny holes on either end of the middle section, where the head connects to the body and the body to the end.

Not fit for purpose
I bought this as a Christmas pres for my friends large lab dog however when I was trying to wrap it, it squeaked and my medium sized little girl lab heard it and grabbed it, as she loves squeaky toys I let her have it intending to reorder for my friends dog. within 5mins she had disabled both squeaks at each end of the item and ripped a hole in the middle stretchy section. As this is advertised for large dogs I cannot recommend and have to say it lasted no longer than a lot of cheaper toys you can buy anywhere.

Didn’t last
Recently adopted a doggy who had no idea how to play and this was one of the first toys we actually managed to get her interested in which is great. However it didn’t last very long at all, she played with it a handful of times before the squeaker And fluff were poking out which meant we had to take it off her due to risk of swallowing/choking. I bought her this as my understanding was that Kong brand would be reliable however really disappointed, reading other views it seems like unlike their Kongs a lot of their toys don’t live up to the name. Luckily our dog had been gifted a few other (cheaper) toys which she has chewed but they have not fallen apart like this one did.

pull out the heads stuffing and one of the squeakers before we realised what he'd done and then had the fun of trying to get him to give up what ...
Bought for my male Boston Terrier since he loves tugging and anything that makes noise. He had it less than an hour and broke it. He managed to rather viciously decapitate the toy, pull out the heads stuffing and one of the squeakers before we realised what he'd done and then had the fun of trying to get him to give up what was left. I've still got one of the squeakers he pulled out, it's useful for grabbing his attention when he's being dopey. Had good experience with Kong toys previously, but this is the first Kong that this particular dog has had and he's proven rather effective as destroying just about every other toy that comes his way too. I bought a replacement and gave it to my other Boston who is gentler with her toys, but unfortunately she'd also managed to tear the head partially away from the middle section before very long so had to confiscate that one too.

Durable, fun toy, good value for money
We like Kong toys and trust them to be good quality and durable for our two labradors. Our new Labrador puppy is like a piranha - he has at least 300 teeth, all like needles and normally pointed in the direction of a hand or a foot. Instead, he can have his Kong squiggle. He loves it. It's stretchy and squeaky and just the right size for a Labrador puppy. He hasn't managed to destroy it yet, still looks good as new. He even takes it to bed with him. Recommended.

Not as strong as you’d think under the kong name!
I bought 2 as I have 2 dogs. With the trusted name of “kong” I thought they would be good value.... my dogs were very interested because of the squeak! But that only lasted about 15-20 mins. They liked the squeaker so much they’d chewed a hole through the material and got them out before I realised. The squeakers are connected inside to the inside of the toy but that didn’t stop my dogs. I had to cut the remaining squeakers out and bin them and sew up the toys. Then ones head fell off a short time later, so I sewed that back on too!! Now they still play with them a bit but without the squeaker they don’t really bother... I suppose I should have taken note of in the items description .... that there is “little stuffing so minimal mess”..... there’s a clue there!!
