Using this for my MacBook Pro M1 2020. The magnets are strong and snaps immediately. The Green indicator light is a good indicator. The product is good but you cannot use both ports if your use this adapter. After using it for 4 months now, the USB-c pin seems to be a bit loose now. It is charging at times but sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, sometimes you have to plug-out and plug-in again for the charging to start. Wish they had warranty on such items.Also Wish this was at a much more affordable price point.

I had my doubts. iSkey fits nicely to my Macbook Air 2020.Tested charging as well as data functions. It supports both.One advice to the complaints on power of magnet: just keep the wire towards the laptop so that it is not pulled away from wire-end. You might have noticed that it can be removed easily by pulling the wire-end first.

Update - bad fit into the usb-c port. 9 times out of 10, the connection will not be made and I have to wiggle the USB-C port adapter for it to connect. Useless. I already tried cleaning the port, but I have zero issues with the original cable.Regret buying. Total waste of money. Also product is not "iSkey" brand but "ARTER"Use it with my Samsung S10 plus. Beats slow wireless charging. The little widget is permanently attached to the USB-C port and is barely noticeable. No issues so far.

The build quality is great and works perfectly. Great substitute for the original MagSafe connector.

This device is a must investment to protect expensive Apple product. I am relaxed my laptop is safe even if kids play around it while charging.

I donot recommend to buy any product from this seller because they did not send me what i ordered.

Its damaged

Product I got is different from which I orderedThis happened 3rd time.I got product named Arter, seller (First2savvvIn) messed up something, don't trust amazon anymore. They're not checking what products they're sending, I choose for replacement and seller says they'll do 50% refund. This seller is really bad.

Initially did its job quite well. As others have mentioned, the shape is such that it blocks too much of the adjacent port on my MacBook Pro 16, so 1 star off for that. But the real issue is that within a few months the connection (used for charging only) started to become unreliable and has gradually worsened to where after 16 months it's pretty much unusable. I've regularly cleaned all of the contacts to ensure it's not an issue with dirt or debris. Not sure whether the root cause is due to the materials used or the design, but it's just not durable enough for use on a daily basis. I'm confident the failure is not from hard use - I'm personally very careful with my cables: the magsafe cables on my older MacBooks each lasted me 3-4 years with no failures, and my iOS lightning cables have lasted me years while my wife and kids wear out theirs every few months. This product is simply not as durable as it needs to be.

Bought this for my Oculus Quest 2 and wasn't sure what to expect, since it's advertised mostly for MacBook. Glad to report it works exactly as I hoped it would! No loss in charging speed or data transfer speed. Now I can rest assured knowing I can save my usb port from accidental and long term damage! I may buy more soon for my other devices. A bit more expensive and thicker than I would like, but definitely a step in the right direction! Would recommend getting it if you are worried about usb ports getting damaged or worn down after frequent plugging in and out.

If your laptop has a USB-C charger, this is a no brainer purchase. Save the wear and tear on your USBC port from unplugging and plugging your charge cable if you move around the house, and simply disconnect the magentic connection quickly and easily.The magent is strong enough to instantly pull the connector into the correct position, but its still easy enough to quickly just pull the charge connector off when needed when you want to run off battery.I'm especially impressed that this works with my new Lenovo laptop which has a Lenovo-specific charging mode that keeps the battery at 70-80% to reduce the wear on the battery longterm. I was concerned this magnetic charger might interfere with that signal from the laptop to the charger and just continue to charge the laptop to 100%, but this works the exact same way as the if the charger is plugged directly into the laptop.So many uses for this connector, you could use it on your phone even, if you didn't mind the little hump at the bottom. Instant magnetic phone charger.The USBC connector is also easy enough to get out of the port with the incuded tool, not that I should need to take it out much at all.Would definitely buy this again!

While the device is solidly made, it is just TOO LONG! Once you insert the magnetic plug into one of the USB-C sockets on a 2018 MacBook Pro 15", the only USB-C plug that will fit into the adjacent socket are the smaller plugs made by Apple. USB-C plugs attached to third-party devices made by Satechi and Belkin are wider and no longer fit into the remaining space which kind of defeats the purpose of having a mag safe power attachment. This design flaw could have been overcome with a little thought by iSKey before they darted manufacture. All that was required was to offset the position of the USB-C plug right at the distal end of the magnet instead of placing it dead centre. So this little attachment will be going back to Amazon. Pity!

In removing the MagSafe power cord, Apple has placed the MacBook laptops in danger of damage from being accidentally dragged off by the power cord. The Magsafe designed allowed the power cord to be attached by strong magnets. In case of an accidental tug (like someone tripping over the cord) the power cord magnets simply detached, keeping the laptop safe.This Magnetic Type C Connector just does that. It allows the power cord to pull free, thus protecting the laptop.I wish that the device had been designed a little better. It blocks the earphone jack, and the neighbouring USB C port.Also the magnets separate a trifle too easily. A stronger magnet and a lip around the connector would have made the attachment less wobbly.The regular USB-C power cord had pulled my laptop twice off the table. With this magnetic attachment my laptop has been saved already about 10 times. Well worth the money.
