My favorite Big Dog training lead! (Good for puppies, too!)
This was a great deal on the combo lead and head halter. I use the head halter for training difficult (stubborn) adult boxers and it is an effective temporary tool. However, the Halti lead is the best nylon lead on the market, super versatile. Feels great in your hands, you can even walk 2 big dogs at once with this lead without buying a coupler. However, on that super wild child, it allows 2 points of securement...this is a great safety mechanism. For day to day use, I love the lead clipped to itself mid way as a large hand loop, allows for easy handling. And, even rescued a stray with it used as a slip collar. Outstanding quality. Plain black... simple. For a little flash, love the Lupine collars... but for the hard work of training tough dogs (or challenged owners), I love the Halti Lead!

Worked Instantly!
I have a very energetic doghter! She’s a spunky, 16 month old Labrador Retriever who loves to take ME on walks. I had tried so many different tools to stop her from pulling on her leash and they all failed. She would pull until she started coughing yet still persisted! I did some research via ChatGPT and it suggested this head collar. While she tried to take it off a couple of times, she adapted to it quickly. She instantly did a proper loose leash walk, looking back every couple of steps and never pulling. Redirecting her was so simple! I am truly amazed! We’ve only gone on one short walk with this to keep the experience positive, but I have high hopes this is the game changer we needed to keep her focused while training.

Just what we needed.
This Halti offers good control of our large and very strong rescue dog. It's easy to put on him. It took a little experimentation to get the fit right. It cannot be tight enough to interfere with his ability to pant and breathe. This Halti keeps us both safe, as I have the leverage to control him so he can't pull me down or away when he wants to chase deer. I don't believe it is uncomfortable for him, as he willingly inserts his muzzle into it when we get ready for a walk. It's definitely worth the price. I do advise to NEVER leave this on your dog when you are not walking it. Your dog can get its front feet entangled in it.

Tugs the head too much.
I got the size three head collar for my 45lb pit/lab mix. He's not a puller so much as a hectic sniffer who won't listen the second he has something new to sniff and will do anything to say hi to a new dog. This was reccomended to me by a dog trainer to help me keep his attention and guide him better on walks. The bottom part you attach the lead to tightens when tugged, which caused great discomfort to my dog and he would spend basically his whole walk shaking his head, rubbing up against me, or just stopping to attempt to paw off his head collar. No matter how much I worked on desensitization with him, it was to no avail. If your dog is a tugger who keeps their head up during most of their walk, I'm sure this could work. The product is not poor quality, but if you have a nose to the ground, no attention payed to where he goes dog like me, I could not reccomend this less.

My girl doesn't like it much, but it keeps us both safe
I'd like to say my dog loves the lead. She doesn't. It goes around her nose, and she doesn't like that. But she like chasing squirrels far more than I like chasing after her while she is chasing them. She accepts the lead with resignation but isn't throttling herself in her enthusiasm for the chase. I call that a win. It doesn't hurt her. She can't slip it off easily, although she has managed it once. The safety clasp kept the halti attached to her collar and thus the leash. She is a husky/blue heeler mix, and her 'come when called' response can depend too much on the presence of other furry things. The safety clasp keeps her from running off after her nose and the halti itself keeps me from being yanked off my feet. The really good thing about it is the progress we've made on loose lead walking and polite interaction with people. A firm grip and a little downward pressure on the lead keeps her from jumping on people, to the point now she is automatically sitting to get attention from them. This is a great tool to use while working on overcoming some of the intransigent behavioral issues dogs can have.

HALTI headcollar
The HALTI headcollar works great for my 50# young, energetic English Shepherd—walking him now is a joy (at least for me) rather than an aggravation.

2 most peaceful walks with this new Rescue Shepherd. Ever!!!
Absolutely 5 Stars. 15! If I could... Omg, I love this collar. In 20-some yrs of owning German Shepherds I never needed one. But this latest rescue Shepherd totally explodes at the sight of other dogs. Walks with her are a run of the gauntlet. This. This Halti headcollar MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. And I'm not even leading her around on it, save to gently turn her around twice, when I wanted her to quit focusing on another dog. I'm using the other Halti leash end, that's attached to her regular collar for that. But with the Halti over her nose and leash just loosely attached to the chin strap, she magically falls in line, walking in step with me. To heel. When usually I have to remind her. I took her out for her first 2 training walks with the Halti on today and in all the weeks I've had her - these were HANDS DOWN the two most peaceful and enjoyable walks!! And we did come across a small dog, jogging with its mom that usually would have set her off, yanking and spinning. But mine just LOOKED, this time - instead of freaking out like a wild Dreidel. And after she calmly watched them disappearing into the distance, I gently brought her around with the chin strap end, and we continued on our walk. Brilliant!!! 15 STARS, if I could. Lol

Works like a charm
This works a lot better than a gentle leader (for my pup). I guess it’s a lot more comfortable than a gentle leader too, as my pup accepted this halti and walks perfectly on it where as the leader he kept trying to paw off his face. It’s very easy to set up, some people were saying theres didn’t come with instructions and I frankly can’t remember if mine came with some but I didn’t need it. It’s very easy to understand how it works. My pup is an in training service dog and he does have a habit of slight pulling and this did help a lot. I wouldn’t recommend for very aggressive pullers as it might hurt their neck but if your pup needs correction every now and then, I think this would be perfect! Durability wise I think it’s just fine. It’s not fraying at the seams but of course it’d break if you let your pup chew on it but I think it’s very sturdy on its own.
