The fit is a little small—I wear a 34 in men’s pants, and a 36 is tight but not too tight on me. I did have a 38 before that felt too loose—ordered it knowing how small they run. Of course, I’m a chunky 50-something year-old guy, not a skinny kid. So go for at least 2” more than your pants’ waist size.These last about a year with regular use, then start to get some worn areas. Thanks to the liner, no peep shows unlike with Speedo (no rear liner), but still time to update.FWIW I swim a couple of times a month in heavily chlorinated pools. I don’t launder much, as I’ve heard this breaks down the fabric faster than just rinsing and air drying.They’re not super-cheap but IMO worth it for the quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Quality - Fit Will be Key *by G***G on August 13, 2018* I have swum several miles in these now. I really like the quality and feeling of durability so far. TYR is known for a quality product, so it doesn't surprise me. I run in them also and they are pretty comfortable for that too. I think sizing is key here though. I listened to other reviews and bought up. I am a 33/34 waist and the 36 is a good snug fit. Couldn't see fitting into a 34. I would also add these are made for a swimmers/runners body. If you are carrying more than a little extra weight in the waist or thighs, I do not think these will be comfortable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great flex and fit. *by M***S on August 24, 2016* I previously had the Speedo Endurance swim suit which is made of nylon/polyester and therefore was not very flexible. I lost a bit of weight and the suit became too big. The Tyr Phoenix has lycra in the material. It hugs your legs better and stretches well with your movement. Even if you drop or gain a couple of pounds it will flex to fit. They're also very light and have a faster feel due to lower drag over nylon suits. Looks good too...! Beware of sizing. I wear size 32-33 pants and ordered the size 34. What arrived was a tight M (medium) size suit. I returned them and ordered the 36. I'm a triathlete, 6'1", 181lbs, 24" thighs.
