Our Basic Tap Water Filter Systems have a color wheel as a filter replacement indicator versus a light like some of our other models. With the color wheel, you won't see a flashing green light. Instead, there's a solid green color showing your filter is working when switching to the filtered setting. Once the filter is set into place on the base, the green color can become faint. Feel free to take out the filter and press the silver filter release button inside the base unit to see the green color more vibrantly. When it's almost time to replace your filter, you'll see the color wheel change to a half green and half red setting. Your filter is still working fine; this is just a warning period to let you know that you have about 20 gallons left on your filter. When switching to the filtered Brita water setting, the indicator will appear solid red when your filter needs to be replaced. Thank you Brita.. ### ⭐ This thing is awful *by A***T on August 27, 2024* If I could give it zero, I would. Yes it was easy to install and yes it worked (when it worked.) But for the most part, it was awful. It leaked, came off the faucet entirely multiple times, sprayed water everywhere and became unusable. My son turned the faucet on and the entire unit fell off into the sink and myself and my carpenter boyfriend cannot reinstall it. The screw on part of the unit that attaches to the faucet is ceased up entirely. It no longer turns whatsoever. So we cannot reinstall it. I bought this on June 2nd and it’s now August 26th. So it lasted less than 3 months, I didn’t even have time to use the second filter. I hand wash dishes, we do not have a dishwasher, but I did not use the “filtered” water for that. I only ever used the filtered water for ice cubes, drinking water, and to give my cat water. I would estimate the amount of time I used the actual filtered water side is less then 5% of the time I was using my faucet. This thing is made of cheap plastic, installs like cheap plastic, and withstands like cheap plastic…. I would not recommend buying it unless you want to be doused with water at 2am or have your young child rinse a plate and be covered in water. I wanted to replace my fridge brita container (that I absolutely love btw) to save space in the fridge… this was so disappointing I came straight here to write a review which I never do unless a product is that bad. This is THAT bad.
