This is a great cat toy. I guess I didn't realize that it came with catnip already in it. I set it up on a space to charge the battery and my cat was all over it. (He doesn't jump up on this particular piece of furniture) He continued to get on that piece of furniture and even was hugging up on the box it came in. That's when I smelled the catnip. He loves this toy and it keeps him pretty busy. It seems to be well made and I hope it lasts for awhile. It helps keep him busy. I highly recommend this product.

This review is for the "realistic" version of Potaroma Cat Toys Flopping Fish. My cat got bored with it pretty quickly, but it was fun to watch the interaction while it lasted. I do believe that the included catnip was old as she didn't really seem to have much reaction to it. The catnip is included, but is contained in a cloth bag inside the fish so I would guess that it's potency had been drained before arriving to our house. I'm not a catnip expert, but maybe if it had been shipped in a plastic bag and transferred by the owner into the cloth bag, it would be more effective. I may pick up some fresh catnip at the pet store to see if it makes a difference. The action of the fish works well. It lays still until interacted with and it starts flopping it's tail for a few seconds and then stops unless the cat is batting or biting at it. Everything seems pretty durable and it's nice that it is rechargeable rather than having to buy batteries for it every time you turn around. Overall, it's a pretty cool and fun item. I'm just a little disappointed that the catnip had already lost it's charge.

When this toy was delivered my orange son didn't even let me get it out of the package before he wanted to play with it. I had to wait to charge it because he wouldn't let me have it. Once it was charged, however, then the real fun began. He's an only child so I had been worried he wasn't getting enough play time and I wanted to get him some interactive toys. He really enjoys playing with this, it keeps him busy and he loves the catnip smell. I've even caught some pictures of him using it as a pillow. The only downside is that zipper did stop working but it doesn't seem to cause any issues and if it does the price is reasonable and I will just order another. Honestly, it kind of makes us both happy because it's hilarious to watch him playing with it. Oh, one other downside - stepping on it in the middle of the night is scary but not as scary as stepping on one of his catnip mice.

My cat loves these fish. This is the third one that I have purchased the other two being from different sellers. It’s very cute and at first it worked well however, after the first couple of days, it started working not so well. I’ve had it for a few months and it works OK but it’s just not like it was in the beginning it barely flocks now which loses my cat’s attention quickly. Most people with cats know that most of them have a short attention span kind of like a three-year-old. Personally, I would not purchase this one again however maybe the problem is just with that specific one. Maybe the rest of them are perfect.

My cat adored this toy immediately, but unfortunately, the plastic gear for the tail arrived shattered. I was unable to get in contact via customer service to get a replacement, and it seems wasteful to return the item since I know it will be trashed, so I've opted to hold onto the toy. Update: I reached out to the company directly via an email they had printed on the tag, and they offered to send me another fish, and I could keep the broken one as well to reduce waste.

My cat has played with this fish for over an hour straight. The battery life is pretty good and it comes pre charged. It will also auto turn off after a minute or so if not being played with.

My one cat just loves this toy! He proudly drags the fish around the house and drops it in front of you like fresh kill; bad thing is that he drops it anywhere and during the night you accidentally kick it. Over time, it seems that the charge doesn't last as long and the flopping mechanism fell apart once already (easily fixed though).

A ninguno de mis tres gatos les gusto. Estuvo muy caro como para que no les gustara. A mis dos perritos tampoco.

My Cat is scared of the fish when it is turned on, but does like to lay on it when its turned off so still good for something i suppose
