Good Quality, but Sizing Way Off
This is a good quality gi, and I love that it comes without any logos/patches. Downside is that their sizing is WAY off (hence the docked star). If you're at the bottom end of the range, you should definitely go a size down. Unfortunately, my son is 3' 8" and they don't carry a smaller size. This gi is not just "a bit big", it's MASSIVE on him. Pants and top both. The top hits his knees, and the pants have to be rolled up quite a bit just to stay off the floor. They're so wide that my husband can put them on. Over his clothing. They do cinch up very well, but they'll never be anything but baggy on my son. Were keeping them as a spare in case the other gi we got (we just ended up buying the expensive one from his instructor, rather than play the sizing game online) needs to be cleaned, and as he'll probably fit into it well enough eventually.

Strong!!
OMG this is a needle in a hay stack, ok. so i spend weeks and days searching the net and Amazon lol looking for a Gi for my son for Jui Jitsu and believe me when i say its the hardest thing that i'v ever done - in terms of buying (and i wear a size 12/13 shoe). so anyways when i came across this for only 50 bucks again i was afraid but i said hey lets just try it and i bought, it came and then i go even more worried thinking i bought the wrong size but NOPE, the waist-rope system they have allows for my son who is 5 and 48" tall and my newphew who is going to be 7 and about 55/56" tall are both able to wear the Gi. for my son i had to take in the arms (by the wrist-folded) and the legs (by the ankle-folded) but nonetheless the Gi will last him for another 2/3 years. NOW i dint receive a belt a first but i contact the seller and after about a week (only because i live the Bahamas) or so the belt eventually came and my son looks so awesome in his gi

Not worth it.
We bought 2 different sizes for my 2 kids who are in jiu jitsu. The top seems to be decent quality but the pants are terrible. Both pant sizes are too short for the intended kid (one of which is small for her age), the waist is ginormous in both, and the styles are different even though we ordered the same Gi in different sizes. The waist tie is not as pictured. One size came with a nylon rope (a rope!) and the other came with a long black shoe lace.

Not as pictured
The product is not as pictured. The product image shows a traditional bjj gi drawstring (ie rope pulls on side with loops on front). What shipped was the cheaper, inferior, sweatpants style elastic waist with drawstring. This seems to be common with youth gis and is unfortunate. Other than that, the material quality was OK but not up to the quality of other similar gis. It is nice that the gi is not loaded with patches and other nonsense.

Great quality but sizing inconsistent
I bought 2 gi's for my 10 year old son. One black & one blue, both size m3. The blue gi fit nicely with a little room to grow. The black gi is HUGE. My son is 88lbs & 4'7" tall. Both gis are good quality, especially for price. Blue pants have the nicer loops & string to tie at waist. Black pants were elastic. (See pics) If ordering black, I'd go down at least 1 size.

Very sturdy/stiff fabric, runs big
Fabric is very sturdy, which translates to extremely stiff. For little girls, this can be a deal breaker when trying to get them ready for class. Our instructors advised us to wash and tumble dry (which is against the manufacturer recommendations) quite a bit to soften them up. We have been doing this, but they are still VERY stiff. Especially for the gi top, it's too big overall. There are multiple folds in the lapels and in the back when we tie the belt because there's so much loose fabric. We used the sizing guide when purchasing, so the specs are just off.

Great value for the money
The price point is what captured my attention. I purchased two, larger sizes, for my 11 year old daughter. We had her team patch sewn on one and it is perfect. The material is not heavy, it's light weight and strong. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Great little gi that I got for my kids
Great little gi that I got for my kids. They were on the smaller end of the weight recommendation and so they are a little big but they still fit them fine and that means when I wash them, shrinking is not a big deal. I did not dry them on full heat, but I did drive them in the dryer on low heat and they shrink a little bit but not noticeably. The pants are not as heavy as an adult gay however they are kids so they're not as rough on them . Overall very happy and I would order another one.
