As an artist, I might find this product easy to use. But given my skills, I do believe any regular person would be qualified to apply this product. I've used a similar product as this one in past years for a repair , but it did not come with 2 tubes of black plus the white. My black leatherette car seats have faded over the last 15 years so I really appreciated having a white to adjust the pigmentation as relative to my seats. The previous product used years ago did not hold up very well and it cracked around the edge of the damaged area which had to be removed. So I was left with a giant hole with only the foam showing. I had to insert 2 pieces of the backing fabric and slowly built up the layers of this product until the hole was more level with the remaining seat area. It took days to do this since I allowed each layer to dry thoroughly before applying a new layer. All in all Im pretty satisfied with the outcome and color match and hopefully the multiple layers of this product will outlast the previous product used 2 1/2 yrs ago. I will admit that there was another area will a small hole and slit and this product did a great job of concealing and fixing the damage. I also appeciate the easy clean up of paint from the enclosed supplies and my hands, using only alcohol and a paper towel.

I didn't expect much from a product entitled "BLACKS" that had a bad smell and came in 80's style crinkly plastic bags. But it really does restore leather color quite well. I've used it in my BMW on the wheel and on the seats and it's holding up quite well. A bit hard to get that perfectly smooth texture due to the nature of the liquid, but once you get the hang of it, you can feather it out pretty well. It takes practice to ensure there is no texture after your work. You may have to sand and repaint if your damage is extensive. Otherwise, if it's just surface discoloration, use a VERY LIGHT coat.

Good product, easy to use,

Product was easy to use if instructions are followed. Several YouTube videos are available. If drying time is needed to shorten, hair dryer on lowest setting works just fine. My biggest issue was my own fault. I was repairing tear in leather car seat. This was older car with electric seat adjustments. The foam inside the seat had lost its original elasticity allowing the backrest blade to penetrate the leather. I should have taken the time to find some thin foam to cover the penetration in the foam to make a better repair in the seat cover. This product made the situation much better but i could have done better job.

This product requires you to go over it multiple times if the patches are small enough. I cleaned area and removed extra lifting material from couches and thought this item would be like a magic eraser, however what everyone is failing to tell you is this is best on small patches due to the amount of this solution it will take to cover the whole. It can take anywhere from 3-6 passes to get it to the point where it is not that noticeable. When I say passes the material has to dry before you put another swipe down. So, this was not at all what I thought I was getting, and the bottles are quite small. When it comes to application, if you are doing it on small about tip of finger patch with given spatula make sure not to scrape hard at all, use a light touch to cover over. I will update this review with photos.

Did a very nice job of patching a tear and a few wear spots on the tonneau cover of my pickup.

I recently bought a gorgeous old Chevy Avalanche which has black leather interior. The front seats have a few minor scratches and so I decided to try this product. I blended the black cream with a little of the included white cream, in order to match existing leather color. So far, so good. Application was simple and straightforward. However, the repaired areas now have much more sheen than other seat surfaces. I’ve tried the recommended method of “dulling” and even tried fine grit sandpaper, but the repairs still have the annoying shiny luster. I even recleaned the seats and applied leather conditioner to the entire seats, but nothing hides the obvious repairs. I’ll try to start over using a different product. I really can’t recommend this one.

Hat nicht ganz so funktioniert, wie ich mir das vorgestellt habe. Kann aber an der falschen Anwendung meinersets liegen, andere kommen vielleicht besser damit zurecht.
