These fit the Filtrete whole house system along with others, I'm sure. I use these for large particulate in the first stage of my home water filter. Second stage is a 5 micron element. I was using 5 micron in both housings but noticed a pressure drop after running for only a few days. These pleated filters take care of the larger stuff before they hit the 5 micron and I don't have the pressure drop until a month later. We have very heavy limestone content in our water.

Their prices are reasonable and the performance is excellent. They have affixed the label "washable and reusable". This approach made me decide to become their lifelong customer.

Bought these individually from a home improvement store. These work just as well at less cost. Have been using them for a couple of years.

I am very pleased with the 20 Micron filter made by Membrane Solutions. I have a well, and have been getting iron contamination/sediment for some time now. I use the 20 Micron filter as the "first step" in a 3 filter "line up" to produce good, clear water. The one thing I really like about the Membrane Solutions 20 micron filter is the fact that it can be flushed, rinsed out, and reused. I do this every 3 to 4 weeks, and the results have been great. The second filter in my 3 step process is a 5 micron filter sold by Kinetico. The 20 Micron takes the brunt of the incoming sediment/iron coming from the well, making the 5 micron filter last much longer and more efficient at removing small particles. The third step in my system is a cartridge tank filter that removes particles down to two-tenths of a micron (0.2). It is an expensive filter, but like the Membrane Solutions filter, it can be flushed and rinsed. I do this every 30 days. It looks almost brand new, and my water is as clear as clear can be after it goes through the 3 filters. Following my first order, I reordered the Membrane Solutions filter (quantity 4). They work! If you have a well and need to filter sediment or iron, I recommend them without reservation.
