how are you able to get a flame char broil using pellets?

Slide the broiler cover to expose the open slots and set temp on how hot (and high) you want flames, wait a few and and away you go, it’ll get wild so keep an eye till your used to it.

How come this smoker doesn’t have a smoke stack like a traditiusmoker?

Too small - not needed. Holes in the top back, instead. Nice smaller grill.
