This potato ricer is genuinely commercial quality. It’s very solid and makes silky smooth mashed potatoes with almost no effort. It’s also way bigger than you expect when you first get it, which actually makes large batches much easier. Top separates from bottom for easier cleaning.

The product feels well made. I have taken my lesson to buy only NEW items. Used ones always come with a risk of damages that you might not wish to live with. So not a product problem but probably packaging or transportation related issue. In terms of the product I can see it is over average quality but you should avoid over pressing as it WILL get damaged as it is basically built to deal with boiled potato or eggs. I like to use it when I intend to squeeze the water out of crated potato or onions where such needed in cooking, so moderate press suffice that and the result is good.

Well worth the great price! Boil and then rice your mashed potatoes and add a ton of butter, a little heavy cream and salt/pepper. Creamy potatoes!

Oh Potato Ricer, where have you been all my life!?!? There are two different basic designs. I chose this type and I'm very happy with it. I like the physics of how it works - pretty easy on the hands /wrist to squish them taters into fine little strands!

I use this on a weekly basis and am very impressed with it. It comes apart easily, and the stainless steel is very easy to clean. It makes THE best mashed potatoes quickly and easily. It came with a brush for cleaning, as well as several extra caps for the pin that holds it together. I used to have a one piece ricer, and I like this one so much better.

Works wonderfully and plenty of room for larger chunks. This is on the large size, so be aware Easy to clean and operate, works smoothly

This is a good ricer that can be used to juice fruit and do everything a good ricer should do. The handles are bare metal, which makes them very uncomfortable to use. We bought silicon pot handles to protect our hands. They make a good ricer much better.
