young warrior, future leader..
I really like this hot rod figure. much better than the warrior class version. this one is fully articulated, unlike the warrior class figure. the design has a nice streamline look to it, and pairs really well with bumblebee. includes 2 flame accessories. (compatible with other cyberverse figures) they clip on his wrist mounted flame throwers. i would recommend this for both kids and adult collectors.it should be noted that his shoulders are packaged in the "up" position. once it's been removed from packaging the shoulders need to be pulled down. the joint itself is very tight. take extreme care, use both hands. once the shoulders are placed down, the arms move around much better.

Great beginner Transformer, slightly stiff
Got this for my nephew after he said Rescue Bots were too easy. It was a bit of a challenge for them at first, but if your kid likes that kond of challenge, they'll enjoy it. The only major issue I have is that the shoulders are a bit too tight when transforming from car to robot, which my nephew sometomes needs help with.

Cyberverse is a really fun version of Hot Rod!
I’ve got the Studio Series 86’ Hot Rod and I picked up this guy. Honestly he’s very different but very fun. If you have a kid, or you’re not a die hard G1 only elitist, then you should pick up this version of Hot Rod. I’m really enjoying the releases from the Cyberverse main line, I can’t wait for the next wave.

A good figure that could be better.
I have this figure and like it. But for $20, it is overpriced. Yes, it comes with a build a figure piece, but this Hot Rod is so short for a deluxe size. There is hardly any paint. The plastic feels on the cheap side. The plastic feels light and kinda flimsy. It does not feel as sturdy as the Siege and Earth Rise deluxes. Hot Rod is my favorite character, and I like the sculpt. It is very close to the cartoon character model. The Siege and Earth Rise deluxes are also $20, and I feel we get a better deal. He doesn't have any weapons either. I'm happy that Hasbro is making a 'more' collector version of the Cyberverse characters, but please give us the same quality as the Siege and Earth Rise deluxes.

Two stars for the BAF leg
This figure is a hot mess! I can't believe the quality took such a dive. He's missing so much color and his proportions are goofy. He constantly looks like he's shrugging his shoulders. Can't get a single decent pose out of him.Update: You can pull his shoulders down for a more natural look but it takes a lot of force and his arms will likely pop off. Mine also has a loose leg that keeps sliding up and won't lock in place.

Overpriced
Not worthy for $31.50 i paid, very small.

Difficult to transform
Difficult to transform robot to car. Poorly written directions. Although the suggested age stated on the boxIs 6+ it is even difficult for an adult!!!
