I've always used J Dewey rods for cleaning my rifles, but saw that this one would work for smaller and larger calibers, so I figured I'd give it a try. I wanted an extra rod so I don't have to keep switching from a jag to a brush for rifle cleaning. I put my jags on my existing Dewey rod and stuck my brush on this rod and set to cleaning the Enfield that I got for Christmas. Having a second rod is definitely convenient and saves time. I will say that this rod isn't as rigid as my Dewey rods, so be careful of you're using a jag and patch that are super tight. It will definitely flex quite a bit. I'm sure part of why it's more flexible is that it'll work for really small calibers, but just be mindful not to go crazy pounding it through your barrel. I didn't have any issues using it with my brush or with a bore mop, which I used with JB Bore Compound and JB Bore Bright to give the old Enfield a very thorough cleaning after using Butch's Bore Solvent to remove powder and copper fouling. Overall, this rod did exactly what I wanted it to do. It served its purpose for brushing my bore and works for smaller 5.56 as well as larger calibers. The length was just right for the Enfield and my longer Mosin Nagant barrel, and is more than long enough for AR or AK barrels.

Just got 2 of them yesterday. Obviously too soon to evaluate more than appearance and possibly the build, BUT, I'm very impressed with both the protective packaging and what appears to be high quality construction. Arrived in heavy tubes with hanging plug on one end and "dead plug" on the bottom end. Even the shipping carton was heavy-duty. Construction is both attractive and very sturdy with quality materials while the ball bearings work smoothly. I believe that if my great, great grandchildren get interested in guns they will find these still functioning perfectly. I also believe they do well for a good sized hunt club camp. But, only time will tell as I begin actually using them. I know nothing about the effects of cleaning fluids on them, the life expectancy of the brass threads or bearings. Oh, almost forgot, the handle ha a heavy duty end with a hanging hole as well. They can be hung either in or out of their protective storage tubes. Good job guys! (If they're as good as they seem.)

I have not used this yet. Two things I like: ONE It is long. TWO, it has a mean of easily and securely storing it. Two things I don’t : ONE, it looks very fragile, while still having that tiny bore size. TWO, I’m concerned that somewhere someway, this will break and I’ll need to buy a multi piece cleaning set.

Good quality cleaning rod, no more threading three together.

Great product, although I had to chase the threaded end with a tap to clean the threads.

This is the second one I now own to keep on my gun case. I have had the first one for over 4 years no problems. I use it almost daily
