Great EDC
Love this knife. Came as sharp as a straight razor...seriously, right out of the box, scary sharp. Has some heft and weight, so you know you have a well made, custom style knife in you hands or in your pocket. Had never heard of this knife manufacturerer, then stumbled across them. Did a little research, and studied the history of the country, and felt confident to give them a shot, thru Amazon, and man, am i glad I did try them out. This baby is in my pocket, pants, shorts, or jackets......it's a sharp looking EDC blade, with the Tuckerman's ravine history, which I have skied in the spring, one year long ago, which was a blast, and this EDC knife is my constant reminder of a great memory, and time in my life....and could be a bucket list inspiration otherwise. But, bottom line this knife is handsome, sturdy, able to do more rugged EDC tasks, without weighing a ton, and the spring assist works like a charm, the blade deploys with a solid "snap too" lacking in other knives costing 2 to 3 times more than this knife. I highly recommend this knife,,,,to friends, family, and others as well. !!! Go get this one, you'll love the knife, and watch how it impresses you, and your friends!!

Aaron from fl.
I am a benchmade/spyderco/fallkniven/hubertus/even sometimes a buck type of guy,but the colonial knife looked good in the picture. So I tried it out, inticed by the price.IT BLOWS!THE blade came off centered in closed position (which sometimes happens with all above exept spyderco and fallkniven as of YET)and the blade was alittle lose so i try tightening it.The screw striped out with min.effort.The screw seamed alittle short about 20% of it was threaded in the female side.I found another simular screw luckly at the hardware store and this one longer. Its now back together and the blade seems straight with alittle tweaking. While apart I found it had plastick warshers that i hate, the florida sand eats them out fast.Back to the hardware store to find bronze warshers. Basicly re-enginere the little piece of crap.I think it is from Canida who out sources to China.Colonial knife is yet another U.S. company who gave up and sold out (probaly UNION LABOR RATES of whome always vote for demicraps)anyway iam rambling and spelling badly but I hope this helps in your French/China purches.

$25.00 Well Spent
Looking at the broad picture, these knives by Colonial are a good buy for that hard-earned $25.00 layout. No,440A series stainless isn't ATS-34,but it's still stainless. Quality levels are nothing short of excellence, equal to many folders priced four or five times as high. the fit and finish between scales and liners is first class, the actions open smoothly, the blades are centered when closed, they show no wobble or play either closed or open, and the handles can be tightened by the user if the they do start to loosen a bit over time. The 7001 Quick Flick opened up a couple of deliveries of strapped cardboard ammunition boxes every bit as well 154CM would have. The scale and liner edges are also well rounded, making this a comforable little knife in the pocket The grinds are clean, even and consistnat and clearly illustrate that the quality control expectations on cutting tools are at least as important in considering a purchase as the country of origin on imported models..

Buyer Beware!
I ordered this knife based on the picture. The knife I got looked NOTHING like the picture. It is a good knife, I won't lie but I was expecting what I saw and was greatly disappointed when I didn't get it. Buyer beware - appearances are deceiving.

Quick Flick
I bought my quick flick due to its price- I knew colonial knife has a longhistory, I believe over 100 years and one of the reason why i choose colonial for my purchase.-it's inported but name me one major manufacture that doesn't import from China. Back to the knife-it looks and feels good, knife came to with a sharp edge, I like that fact that i can move the clip for tip carry or tip down carry, and the knife is small enough to allow easy carry. The G-10 handle is a bonus sinceI know this stuff cost $$$ to use on a knife-cheap copies of the Quick Flick will use plastic model scales. My 7001 came with a lifetime warranty so it sounds as if the company stands behind thier products. I highly recommend it to others looking for a an easy carry superb quality assisted opening knife.

Colonial quick flip is the only knife I've ever owned ...
Colonial quick flip is the only knife I've ever owned that fell apart. As the other review states the screws are too short which is a bigger problem with a spring assisted knife as the blade impacting the handle rattles them loose. 1 star but truly it's a zero.
