Are they dishwasher safe?

We do not recommend to place this bottle in the dishwasher, placing in dishwasher may temper with your insulation.

How many straws come with the bottle?

This does not have a straw. So easy to clean.

Does it actually need a straw in the straw lid or is it the top only that’s a straw style. I’m looking for a thermos without a extra straw attachment.

This does have the extra straw attachment, but that being said, having used a number of different thermos bottles, I like this one a lot. It does not keep drinks as hot/cold as the Corkcicle, but it is lighter weight, not top-heavy, and the lid is well designed. Both carry handles on my corkcicle have broken. This one, I’m certain, will not. I do recommend it! Good luck in your search!
