We used our bathroom scales to weigh the machine. The machine by itself weighs 26 lbs. The tray and platforms needed for the machine weigh an additional 10.6 lbs.

The machine I purchased came with the standard sliding tray,1 standard cutting pad, 1 premium crease pad, 1 standard adapter pad, 2 mylar shims, and 1 die pick. As a separate order I also purchased the Accessory set with a Solo Platform, Shim and Wafer Thin Die Adapter so I could cut with my Framelits and thin dies.

How many sheets of paper can this cut through simultaneously?

It depends on the thickness of the paper that you are cutting, I can cut about 3 sheets of 100lb cardstock at one time, this machine is more about the amount of real estate you can cut rather than the quantity. Hope this helps!

Can the big shot pro cut wood die cut embellishments?

No! The cutting mechanism is by compressing the die cut down into the paper or fabric being cut. These die cuts are not made to withstand wood. And, the dies are a pricey investment. They would be ruined quickly as the wood dulls the edges of the dies.
