Update: I gave it 5 stars in Feb '22. It has 1 star now and for good reason. We are in a coastal environment so we chose a 'powder coated' handle set. The salt in the air did the damage seen in pics in less than 3 months. We have many outdoor fixtures that are powder coated like light housings, etc., and they all look brand new. The finish is a disaster, the components all have 'play' in them and now we get to go to battle for our $140 and start over again. Because we're at the seashore, we see a lot of powder coated items outdoors. We've never seen anything like thisdamage it or any furniture or grills, etc. We're thrilled. We typically like contrast in finish to feature the door or the handle set but decided to experiment. So happy with the look and feel overall. It's heavy and sturdy. Sexy little feature for an affordable upgrade. This is a Hurricane door so you don't just replace it for fun, so new hardware it is. As others mentioned, an extra hole needed to be drilled and marking that was not easy (nor did we get it right the first try) but totally doable and our mistake hidden. Mechanisms are smooth and feel good in your hand. I don't know that you could beat this! Don't hesitate if you're on the fence.

I wanted to get away from the 2 " big manufactures" as the finish doesn't hold up. Great lock set! Very well made. Great hardware packet. Excellent all around quality.

I installed this on my own. I am not a professional, but install lights, switches, knobs, pulls, etc around our home. Pros: Very solid. Would be difficult for someone to break in, which was our purpose. Needed an extra part and the manufacturer supplied it with speed and AWESOME communication. Great modern look. Cons: A little difficult to u lock for my elderly mother.

Four star - not five due to the "guts" not being the best, butt, you get what you pay for. Simple lines and nice to look at, as most reviewers agree. Purchased to RnR/update a failing (grandkids couldn't squeeze hard enough to open) old school door set with curved handle and a still well functioning dead bolt, so went from two keyed entries to just the deadbolt with this set. Worth noting my set up had three different holes in the door which were covered by existing sets round anchors. Happy the length of this set was long enough to cover all three holes; unfortunately the holes were not in perfect alignment (read some binding and new set ended up not perfectly straight) and sanding and painting of outside of door was required to ensure squareness of this replacement set covered round holes of previous set. Head's up for those knowing nothing is as ever as easily said as done; outside of your door may need attention to detail to adequately cover up old hardware mark &/or door imprint; important that the three holes are aligned vertically and match the somewhat limited access holes built into new handset. Lastly, do it right, from the start as the interior hardware of this set doesn't like to be bent to fit - the square hole round peg thing. Yes, in the end my install not perfect and I am unwilling to to do it again as the parts may not go back together again.

This knob looks incredible when you first install it; very modern and exactly what kind of finish we wanted. We quickly realized that it was a little more flimsy than we anticipated, making it hard to lock and unlock smoothly. We don’t use our front door as often, so we thought it would be fine. As soon as it got below freezing, the inner mechanism locked up (attached picture) and the knob completely stopped working so we weren’t able to lock the door or get out without fully dismantling the handle. Love the look, but should’ve spent the money on a Schlage or Kwikset knob for the quality.

very pleased, looks great and installation was a breeze. can't beat it for the money and their customer service is second to none. had a issue with the first handle set so i emailed them and explained the problem and within 3 days i had a new handle set delivered.

This is on my front door, which is barely used. It’s beautiful, but the internals have crumbled. It’s only been a few years. This has never happened to me & I have 4 exterior doors. Not a quality product as far as internals.

Had it a few months now and no problems. Looks great. Wish the key and lock felt more substantial but no problems with it. I read reviews with problems but it sounds like many were high traffic households. Perhaps I haven't had any problems because I do not have a ton of teenagers going in and out, using it roughly, but maybe I just got lucky. So far no problems. I had my door guys install it but they didn't complain so I assume it was reasonably easy to install. UPDATE: a year later and still good.

Bought this product for the look and believed that made in Germany was a sign of quality. The lock looks beautiful and sturdy but the middle part was broken. The package says DO NOT RETURN, instead invites to email customer service directly. Despite sending a video, and several emails, never got a response. We called a lock company to see if there was a mistake from our end, paid $50 for this service to find out the lock was damaged. zero customer service support
