I bought the Kristin Ess Fragrance Free Daily Cleansing Shampoo because I’ve been dealing with stubborn scalp sebum buildup, and I needed something that could truly cleanse without irritating my scalp. I did an overnight scalp oil treatment first, and the next morning I washed my scalp with this shampoo three times (because of the oil + buildup). I’m honestly impressed — it removed the sebum better than other shampoos I’ve tried, even after oiling. My scalp finally felt truly clean. For reference, I have very thick, long curly hair (3C–4A) with mixed curl patterns and some heat damage from mid-length to ends, so I’m careful with anything “clarifying.” Surprisingly, this shampoo cleaned extremely well without making my hair feel overly stripped, especially when paired with the Kristin Ess Fragrance Free Shine Enhancing Conditioner. I also love that it’s fragrance-free (a must for me), and the formula is vegan, paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, and silicone-free. A little goes a long way, and the price is great for the results. If you need a clean, fragrance-free clarifying shampoo that actually works, I highly recommend this one.

I have sensitive skin and scalp and many products with or without fragrance can irritate my scalp or body. I also really want products free of sulfates and parabens. To add to this list, I have fine but wavy hair that tends to be greasy on the top and very dry on the bottom. For the first time in a long time I have actually experienced a shampoo that washed my hair without it looking greasy out of the shower and did not irritate my skin. Its been getting so bad I have been trying to get creative in how I wash my hair and body, but finally I can be clean without my eczema flaring up! I also bought and used the conditioner. Both are fragrance free and so far are working well for my scalp and skin. I had no idea how much fragrance was an irritation factor until recently and how a simple product change fixed so many of my skin woes. I am going to purchase all the other fragrance free items now in this line. I also experienced less hair loss than I was after a wash with this shampoo. Everyone's hair is different but for me, it appears added fragrance was the cause of my scalp acne and related issues

It was too good to be true. I really like the product, but there's something in it that I'm allergic to, even though it's fragrance free. It didn't give me hives like some, but it's given me awful bumps on my hairline. I only have gotten these from using Pantene Pro V. Bummer💔. I wish it wasn't so difficult to find a product that doesn't break me out. If you're looking, Odele Ultra Sensitive is pretty good, no allergy concerns, but I thought I'd try to find a new brand. Looks like I'm stuck with Odele.

I love this shampoo. It's a clean, fragrance-free shampoo that's rated well on the EWG. It doesn't dry out my fine hair or weigh it down. It is on the pricey side.

Great for sensitive skin but I got an unexpected bonus. Before switching to Kristin Ess, my hair was constantly shedding. I now see significantly fewer hairs on my clothing and my hair feels fuller and my scalp feels cleaner.

Does the job of clarifying your hair very well. But if you have fine hair or sensitive scalp beware!! After too much use of this shampoo my scalp is itchy and my hair is dried out. Use only if you have a very oily scalp or product buildup in your hair!!! If not, it is not a good daily use shampoo.

It's a great product for sensitive scalp, colored hair, and cleanses efficiently. It's a great product but on pricy side.
