LiveClear Allergen Reducing Dry Cat Food, Salmon, 16 lb

Now this food isn’t going to magically make your allergies disappear, but it does drastically reduce mine. I am allergic to cats but the cat distribution system got me and I’ve been managing my symptoms since. I take two medications every day to help with my allergies. One other person in my house is MILDLY allergic to cats. Before she would have to take Zyrtec to help with her allergy. When I switched to this food, after a few months she no longer had to take the Zyrtec. I have seasonal allergies (pollen) so I unfortunately have to keep taking my allergy meds no matter what. But before my cats were on this food I would be nearly crippled with allergies during pollen season. Not an exaggeration. Even with the medications. It was really difficult to be near my cats during that season. I’d have to keep them in one room until the season was over. Since they have been on this food, pollen season is bearable! It almost doesn’t affect me at all and I don’t have to imprison my poor cats for that time period anymore. I’m so thankful for this cat food.

I’ve been feeding my cat the Purina Pro Plan LIVECLEAR Salmon and Rice formula for about six months now, and I’m seeing some positive results. The main reason I switched was to try and reduce allergens since my family is sensitive to cat dander. While it’s too early for any medical confirmation, I’ve noticed fewer sneezes and watery eyes around the house, which is promising. My cat took to the salmon flavor quickly — no fussing or picky behavior at all. The kibble size is appropriate for adult cats, and it seems to digest well with no stomach upset or noticeable changes in litter box habits. It’s also reassuring that the food is high in protein, which aligns with my vet’s recommendations for maintaining lean muscle mass. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want to try an allergen-reducing formula that your cat will actually eat.

Works for my allergies and cats love it

I am extremely allergic to cats, and this stuff is MAGICAL. My cat is obsessed with the taste and I am able to live a mostly allergy-free life with him! You don’t have to feed a lot everyday for an average-sized cat, so a bag lasts for a while which is nice considering the price point.

This cat food actually does reduce my family’s sneezing! Two of our family members sneeze constantly because of our cat. Once we switched to this food, they only sneeze a few times a day. This didn’t completely stop their sneezing, but I’d definitely say that it made a major improvement. Our cat definitely liked the taste of this food. We gave samples of the current cat food and this food as choices for our cat and our cat chose this allergy reducing food. This food is definitely more pricey than what we were feeding, but we will continue using it since it’s brought so much relief to our family and one bag of food lasts us a while.

Cat loves it

I have always had cat allergies to the point where I could only stay at friends houses who own cats for 1-2 hours before having to leave due to not being able to breath or getting puffy eyes. I decided to make a dumb decision and foster a cat and had some issues with my allergies, but my cat was such a perfect fit that i couldn't not make her part of my family. So in conjunction with an air purifier (somewhat helps) and Purina Live Clear I am able to live with my cat completely allergy free. I have been feeding my cat for about a year on this food with no issues, she seems to enjoy it and they have many other options now (Ex. different flavors and formulations). My cat isn't very active so i will be switching her from the high protein to the weight loss formula on my next order. Surprisingly this food is not expensive at all either. I subscribe to save some money and purchase the largest bag that has lasted me a half year using an automatic feeder. It seems to cost me about $10 per month. I hope they can add some wet food options in the future. Overall, this actually works well and I never thought I would be able to own a cat. My cat's hair gets everywhere and she will occasionally lay on me or my face and I still have no issues at all.

Bought this for my dad's visit, who is allergic. I can't be sure if due to this food, but my dad didn't complain majorly about the cats during his visit. I did feed this for a month before he arrived. A bit pricey, but worth a try if someone in the family is allergic to cats. The cats liked it too so it must not taste horrible. We were already feeding Pro Plan, so it wasn't a big change.

I've had the same dry food for years, but decided to change it given the claims that this helps with allergies. Unproven on the allergy reduction front, but 100% attest that my cat loves this!

My cat absolutely loves this food and always finishes her bowl. The ingredients seem good quality, and it hasn’t caused any stomach issues. Her coat looks healthier, and she has more energy since switching. Definitely a great choice for picky eaters

My husband is very allergic to cats. We have a seal point ragdoll, and when we first brought him home, my husband‘s eyes were watery and sticky, and he was sneezing constantly by the end of the night. After I ordered this food, it took about 3 to 4 weeks until we started to notice a big difference in his allergies, no more sticky eyes, no more sneezing no more rashes. He can pick this cat up and kiss it play with it and everything and he’s perfectly fine. Her cat has been on this food for four years now and we have no reason to switch. 10 out of 10 would recommend this to anybody in their house who has allergies around their cat!
