Contigo Byron Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, Licorice, 16oz

I've been using the 20oz Snapseal mugs for, well, close to a decade now. Bought my first one in January of 2017. And I haven't used another travel mug since. They keep cold things cold, and hot things at the temperature of lava almost indefinitely. They're surprisingly lightweight compared to plastic mugs, thanks to the vacuum insulation. But not so light as to be unstable. They have the feel of quality, and my experience proves they very much are. The rubber grip is very comfortable and holds up very well over a period of years. They might not fit under most Keurigs, but frankly, neither do other 20oz mugs!My first mug lasted 6 years, until I drove off with it on my bumper and it fell off at about 20MPH onto concrete. Whoops. But that's the minimum it takes to even think about damaging the body. You may scratch them up, but they will stand up to more abuse than you would ever think possible. Of course, I replaced it with exactly the same. But this is where the caveat comes in.Both of those mugs suffered multiple falls with no problems, just scrapes. You can probably throw them through walls with no ill effects. Until they land lid first. Making the lid comfortable - and it's VERY comfortable - means using fairly soft plastic. Which is easily gouged and scraped, and even splits sometimes. Both of the replacement mugs are as straight as the day they left the factory, but the lids have gouges right in the drinking area that make them basically unusable, and one split so it isn't fully tight. That's the caveat. The mug outlasts the lid. None of them leak, but they cut up your lip if you try to drink from them.I really, really wish Contigo would sell the lid separately and I honestly don't understand why they don't. Drops and accidents aren't covered by warranty of course! And they shouldn't be! But it's really disappointing to have to buy an entire mug when all I actually need is a new lid.

I not only teach, but I am also in grad school and have a considerable commute to campus when necessary. That said, I purchased this because I needed a travel mug that could go in my backpack without leaking. This one does the trick. It has a really nifty sealing top. I've read some reviews saying it's difficult to use with one hand. I have older, not-so-strong hands, and I found that popping it open was pretty easy, but if you are traveling, you don't need to close the top every time you take a drink because it won't spill through the drinking hole anyway. And it really keeps your drink warm or cold. And, I can seal it and pop it in my backpack to haul to class without any spillage. Quite nice, well worth the buy if you need something truly leakproof.One small drawback - it doesn't take to banging around too much. I did drop it from my desk one day, and it got a pretty good dent in it - a little more and it would not have stood up anymore. So, if you are looking for rugged, this is not it, but for everything else it works a treat.

It has not leaked and keeps my coffee hot for a few hours. I even throw it in my motorcycle saddlebags or in my truck cupholder and I have had no issues. This is a solid buy.

I am impressed with this travel mug for how long it keeps beverages cold or hot, literally 12 or more hours! I will make a drink with ice the afternoon before and there’s still ice in it in the morning. The first time I put hot water in it I realized it wasn’t going to cool down enough to drink so I had to add cold water. Now I make sure my hot beverages are at ideal temperature for drinking. It truly is leak proof. I can lay it on its side with hot or cold liquids in it and it will not leak.The only downside to this mug is the spout for drinking is very tiny and it just trickles into my mouth. For a good drink, I have to remove the cover. Another comment I have is the grip area of the mug is too high. If it was down an inch or so, it would be better.Overall, the quality is great, it is portable, it is easy to use, easy to clean, the lid is functional and I love the color!

Perfect size for a high schooler. Keeps water cold all day w ice. Not too bulky, heavy, the thin and taller shape makes it comfortable and fits in backpack pocket comfortably. Looks nice, sturdy great quality for the price!

I really love my Contigo. It is the perfect size for me and keeps my coffee hot all day (I fill it at 7 AM and, if I still have coffee at 3 PM, it is almost as hot as when I filled it). The seal is great! I've knocked it over a few times when the drinking spout has been closed, and not a drop of coffee got on the papers I was working on. I’ve had other travel mugs that leaked in similar situations.

商品自体はこのブランドを20年近く使用しているので、満足しています。届いた際、商品が密閉されていない梱包でしたが、海外ではこういうものなんだと理解しました。納品日については、予定日を過ぎたころ日付ではなく曜日の表示となり、若干不安でしたが、表示されていた曜日に届きました。できれば、納品日については日付表示にしてほしいです。

Not great. Doesn't keep coffee hot. Also don't like the snap lid - it's pretty loud.Probably my only disappointing Prime Day purchase.

These are my 3rd and 4th contigo travel mugs.The first one I left at a road side stop accidentally.The second one I dropped one too many times, I guess, and it no longer held the heat.But I got many years out of both of those.These mugs work almost too well. If you put very hot liquids in there, you might need to leave the cap off for a bit just to be able to drink it. They definitely hold the heat in for many hours. The shape is perfect to fit in every cup colder. They are absolutely leak proof.
