This has been a great tie out for my very large Great Pyrenees. I have 2 dogs latched to it. It has done great for 6 months, but after some rainy weather it apparently loosened up and they were able to pull it out of the ground. I should have checked it to make sure it was still secure. I still trust it. When this happened, 5 of the 6 threaded stakes stayed with the base, but 1 can't be found. Is there a way to purchase replacement stakes?

We love this anchor! I bought it for a 10 pound dog and it works perfectly. I have it drilled into the middle of my yard. It is holding tight and is low enough for the mower to clear it, plus it was super easy to install. Keeps my little Duke safe and happy while he patrols the lawn. It does feel solid enough to work for a bigger dog, but alas I can only attest to a 10 pounder.

The product is very heavy duty and appears to be very well made. We ended up not trying it as we thought the risk of getting clothes lined was to great with our very exuberant and powerful GS. We were also skeptical that our girl couldn’t pull it out as the bolts are not that long, our girl is very strong and our ground is soft. I will say that if we had thought it was the right solution for us we would have cemented the base into the ground. The ball type mechanism seems like it would work quite well.

EXACTLY as promised. Once installed there is no wiggle. Concerned, I have a 70lb 1yr old GSD. Installed tie out on a slight hill. After several straight days of rain, it remained just as stable as completely dry earth. Even at a full gallop she's secure. Great product.

The product itself is great. I feel very safe connecting our dog to this tie out anchor. The packaging and shipping are less than acceptable. Somewhere along the way, the flimsy box ripped open and the tie out cable and snap hook went another direction. An effort was made to tape the box I order to move the package along through the delivery process. The box is far to flimsy to hold up to the heavy duty anchor screws. Luckily, I had already decided I was not going to use the two missing pieces.

This has been great in our backyard for our small dog. We do not have a fence, this way I can hook him up and he can spend time in backyard, do his business and then sun himself unsupervised.
