Nice little radio
Okay. So, after a week or so used it. Very nice, and simple to use. It has Am/Fm and National Emergency Radio stations and all other radio station channels available. The frequency is not bad. The volume is not so loud (adjustable), this radio is I believe considering how small it is, it's supposed to be for individual use (even comes with earphones with it). It is not one of those big home radios almost everyone in the living room can hear, only those who really listen to it. I believe that's what yall wanted to get anyway. The DOWN side is= It uses triple AAA's tiny battery and that standard battery yall know how long it last when turned on this radio will use (30-40 hours) for every AAA battery. There is a Power off button, HOWEVER, it doesn't turn off. There is a sleep mode to it where the radio stays completely silent so that's about it. It's pretty nice, but you'll have to change the battery very often. Quality wise? Maybe not the radio you are looking for. But if you don't really care about that then it's a great little radio.

a real pocket am,fm,weather radio
Exactly what I wanted. Great reception as I can get most of my local fm stations without having to raise the built in antenna. Sound from the built in speaker is loud and clear. Weather radio alert function works perfectly. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the battery life could be better. Would I buy this again, absolutely yes.

Good value
For less than one Andrew Jackson, this compact, inexpensive radio seems like a good value. The fit and finish are good, and it's a sharp looking little radio. It has a very short (6.25 inch) FM telescoping antenna that pulls out from the radio. The tiny antenna severely limits reception. However, when you plug in the included earphones, they act as a wire antenna, improving reception significantly. In my testing, the scan function stopped at only 5 or 6 FM stations off of the telescoping antenna, but 12 stations when the earphones were plugged in. Where I live (rural western NY), I can only pick up one weather station, but that's all I need. As digital radios go, the controls are simple to use, but it's certainly not a simple as the old analog dial transistor radios from the good old days. But it is definitely convenient to have preset channels. I got this mainly to listen to the radio as I work in the yard, and it's nice not having to fiddle with a tuning dial, and at this price point, I'm not too worried about it getting jostled around and possibly breaking in my pocket as I work.

Better have a good stock of AAA batteries...
I like to play the radio in the bathroom when I'm getting ready in the morning. This radio serves that purpose well, except the battery life is far less than what would seem reasonable. The radio is convenient for size and the sound quality and volume are pretty good, and having the time displayed is convenient too. However, it has 3 battery level status bars and the first one is gone shortly after putting in new batteries. The other 2 bars seem to disappear in equally disappointing time. And don't bother storing settings in the radio memories. All those stored settings, along with the time setting, are wiped out when you replace the batteries. And resetting the clock and tuning to a station in the middle of the dial are not exactly user friendly. Just the same, I plan to keep using it - just with extra AAA batteries close at hand.

Horrible little radio.
I really wanted to like this radio but I just can't. On the upside, it is very compact, has a nice digital tuner, weather alert and comes with earbuds. On the downside, the speaker is horrible, the sound quality is worse than the audio on cheap cell phone speakers. Reception was not great for me but I live in the country so to be fair I won't blame that on the radio. But the WORST part as noted by other is the absolutely abysmal battery life. I got it to keep it on the weather alert mode all the time, I went through two sets of fresh batteries in two days, not even playing the radio, just sitting there in alert mode. Not recommended.

Excellent
Lots of features in a small package. Good quality sound and a great radio for a first time radio owner or a seasoned adult. One particularly nice feature is that if the radio plays for 90 minutes or so, it will turn itself off and not run down the battery. This is particularly good if the radio is intended for a young person's first radio. Also, the radio had an alarm, and the default setting when it's not in use is a time display. Surprisingly, the earphone are stereo. This radio has a lot of quality features in a small package with a reasonable price. A+!

A great small NOAA Weather Alert pocket radio
Radio delivered on time and in excellent condition. It does not have DC connection and does not have battery recharge port. This means it has to use 2 AAA alkaline batteries. Or 2 rechargeable AAA can be used which have to be recharged outside of the radio by using separate battery charger. AM/FM receptions are respectable. Can only find 2 weather stations in my area. One is very clear and the other has lots of statics. But one clear station is adequate to meet my need for the weather information. Turn on the radio. Switch to the weather band and find the station to listen. Press and hold the band/alert key till the "alert" message appears on the display. At this moment, none of any station on any band can be listened. But this enables the alert functionality. When an alert occurs, the radio will automatically turn on and broadcast the weather alert. This is exactly what I bought this little radio for. Serves as a weather alert radio. 100% meets my need. Excellent product and excellent seller.

Difficult to Use
This is a nice little radio. I purchased it to carry with me in the field for weather alert warnings. It is small and readily fits in a shirt pocket. Once you get it programmed it, it performs adequately. Unfortunately it is extremely difficult to program and the manual is little to no help. Small buttons vs large fingers coupled with a small print and small manual (pages are 2-1/2 " wide by 4" high) all add up to a very frustrating experience. In addition, the time delay between pushing buttons during programming it inadequate, especially if you have to turn a page in the manual. I'm sure the person who wrote the software would not have any difficulty, but a typical user is very unlikely to be that familiar with with the procedure. It also eats batteries and you have to reprogram when you change them. Several times I got to the point that it would not respond no matter what button I pushed, necessitating the removal of the batteries to get back to ground zero. I would not recommend this radio unless you have a lot of spare time and a high frustration level.
