I’m not able to afford both: Can you distinguish between the two?** A: Beard Balm is much like similar mustache wax that helps your beard keep shape and prevent it from drying out too much. It comes in a can that is a reminder of old time 'shoe polish' and has a similar consistency (Don't let the terms turn you off, its just what it looks like). Your swirl your fingers in it and then rub it into your beard and then brush it to shape. The Beard Oil is a very fine product that I find does a better job of conditioning your beard, soften it and keep it from being dry. I find it is much easier to use too. Its like hair tonic for the beard but made for beards. Zeus has a Verbana Lime I'm quite satisfied with, though I know some guys who swear by Sandalwood fragrance. Personally I recommend the Oil over balm. Zeus comes in a bottle with a 'dropper' that allows you to put just the right amount into your hand and then massage into your beard. It will leave hands needing washing as they will be oily but beard will be softer and fragrant. It comes with a dropper to dispense the oil. I use 4 drops for a full neatly trimmed beard. Everything for guys has a scent and too many scents clashing can be overbearing. Not only does Zeus have a unscented oil which is nice but another gem. Their tea tree oil is absolutely fantastic. Many brands will label a product "tea tree" for the scent but will not actually have any actual tea tree oil in the formula. What's the point? Tea tree doesn't actually smell all to great to some but the real thing want is the actual oil as it is so good for the skin. Couple it along with all the original natural oils they put in and you have a great product that not only moisturizes the beard but the skin underneath while dealing with any free radicals that could lead to acne, dandruf and anything else that could effect your face. I'd honestly buy a larger container of this anytime because I can't enough of the stuff.
