This mount holds my LG G2 phone perfectly (both in and out of a case). For best results I recommend mounting a phone without a case though. The mount only holds the phone in a horizontal position but you can put the phone in both horizontal and vertical position based on adjustment of your tripod head...depending on the capabilities of your tripod. This is a high quality item for the price. The design is such that there are no springs or plastic clasps that could break like on some competing models. Note that aluminum is a soft metal when compared to steel so you will see some scratches in it over time - especially in the metal under the dial you use to tighten. This is normal and not a defect given the aluminum construction. All in all, this mount works as intended and is much nicer looking than other plastic alternatives I saw on Amazon.

My phone is very big and I wanted something to hold it so I can put it on a stand to take a picture or video.I have the nexus 6P phone. This is easy to size to the phone. Since all the buttons of my phone are, unfortunately, in the center, I had to have something that will hold it well because I can't grip it from the center, but off to almost the edge.

This is the 3rd one I bought the previous ones I gave them away to friends and family, the last one is not as smooth as it feels gritty, but still is my choice for durability.

Takes a bit to set the phone up (i.e. you'd have to unscrew, adjust the height and screw it on again every time), but I highly recommend it especially if you are into night photography. This mount is quite sturdy, unlike the plastic ones that are commonly available. Also worth mentioning that it was able to accommodate my OnePlus 3 with a case on. I'm attaching a sample I took with this mount and a mini tripod.

Upon receiving the mount it works as instructed. The only thing I would suggest is not moving your tripod or stand around when you have this connected because although it grips pretty tight, it is not very susceptible to movement. I ordered this with the ChargerCity MegaGrab 2 and that seems to be an excellent product if you are in the market for a smartphone mount. In the long run I would suggest a decent tri-pod to also go with it.

Here's the deal. This would have been a five star except for one major flaw. The device is machine different on each side. One side is round enough for an iphone 6 plus and case. The other side is too narrow and can't handle the depth of the phone with its case on. Why not machine both sides the same depth, ensuring a phone, with case, could be held?

Threading was botched - and was too small for a regular mounting screw. Will need to Tap for proper size. The build of the device is cool - in theory - however the materials are a bit soft in nature.The device did manage to hold an iPhone 6+ (with a thin rubber case) Just didn't fit in a tripod :( Sort of a Buyer Beware situation - Stars Off for inconvience and having to find a Tap&Die set - then finish the assembly of the product.

I had been looking for a clamp-style cell phone holder that wasnt plastic so I gave this one a try. Exactly what I wanted. Simple, durable, cheap... You do have to squeeze it closed on your phone while threading the knob tight for the best fit. I use it on the end of a pvc pole with a cheap old cell phone for making fun videos. Try it!

Does what it's supposed to do. Fits my Google Pixel snugly with or without a case on. The aluminum is quite thin and light but it still seems very sturdy. Not afraid of it getting bent up after being thrown haphazardly into a bag. I like it!

Bought this to use with my Nexus 6p. Works really well and hold very securely with the bolt at the back. Fits snugly to a standard tripod mount and has soft padding inside to protect your phone. The only problem I have it that I have e to mount my phone off centered so that the power and volume buttons aren't blocked or pressed by the mount.

Works well, and is quite durable. The iPhone has a good camera so it's nice to be able to utilize it like a camera on a tripod.

So much safer than other flimsy brackets. My phones are expensive, I want them protected when I put them on the end of a stick or tripod. Great product!

I am sorry to break the mod here however this is pretty bad, your phone will stay slitghy lose in the mount. So it is about the equivalent to using a table or ramp has support take your photo's but you will have carry your tripod to do so.
