Not pleased, delivery damage
Two topics in this review: one good, one bad. 1. Over all I’m impressed with these boots. Initial lace up and try was very comfortable! You can feel the comfort and quality !! Can’t wait to get them broken in. They seem like they will break in easy. 2. Very disappointed!!! 180$ for boots!! I would expect them to be pristine when I open the box…. Nope! The toe of the boots looked worn from either someone trying them on or the shipping either way unacceptable for 180$!! Also both are like permanently creased ! And I know this is petty but the laces were half laced but not even. I tried to reach out to the company via Amazon but we all know how worthless that ever changing process is. So I am leaving a review in hopes they reach out. Update: changed my review to 5stars since customer service was extremely helpful! They did not ask me to mention I change the review I am changing on my own! But a couple weeks wearing these boots I will say I am loving them. Just heavy compared to my nike or others but seem very sturdy and durable. I think I just found my forever boot!!

Great Army boot at a great price!
First time trying out these Garmont boots. They are amazing!!! They fit perfectly (I'm an 8.5 M in all running shoes and most other Army boots) and felt great without even breaking them in. They are extremely comfortable, almost like trainers. They're also comfortable when running. They aren't lightweight, but I honestly don't mind or even think about the weight. The soles are grippy (the rubber is sticky, out of the box) and the boots give enough grip to slowly walk through ice (currently stationed in Korea and just started the winter season of freezing temps, ice, and snow). Paired with some thicker, winter socks (I have only used thicker summer weight socks so far), they can keep your feet at a good temperature. I'm not sure yet how well they'll keep you feet warm when resting out in freezing temps during any military exercises. Make sure you buy some lanolin oil (sheep's oil) to prep the boot for wear. The instructions that come with the boots state to use a very thin application on the leather parts of the boot and hence, gives a really good dark brown color (lanolin changes the color of leather). Lanolin keeps the leather hydrated and gives some protection to wear and dirt. You can also top the boot off with some waterproofer too, for extra protection and water repellancy. Don't use too much lanolin in one spot as it'll smoothen out the napped finish.

👍
Fantastic ACU summer boots. Got me through many FTXs. Didn’t take long to break in, plenty of traction. Fits a little tight on the sides.

BEST BOOT!
Husband LOVES these boots they’re perfect fit everytime, we will continue to buy these! They last 2 years + you can change out the insole if they get worn out after a year or two. Fit great, they’re not to heavy and they’re so comfortable!

Best field boot money can buy!
Having always worn issued boots in my 9 years of service, I figured I should join the other Joe's and try out the life of leisure. After reading a lot of reviews, I settled on this boot. It had top reviews everywhere. My initial impression: wow! These feel great. What have I been missing out on? They're not the lightest boot, but unless you're a desk jockey you want something with some meat and ankle support. The laces are great, and so is the tongue. The padding is decent. They also look great. Some of the boots I see some new privates wear look like a damn basket ball shoe. One more comment on weight. Weight is subjective, and while they're no where near an issued boot, they're also not a Nike. They have some weight to them, but they're definitely not bad. Break in: the initial break in was fairly rough. It didn't take too long, but I did get a blister along my Achilles. The first foot blister I've ever had. Now I don't blame the boot for that. I'm in between sizes, and with extra wide feet it helps to go big. My feet are freaking weird man, so I don't blame anything but them. They did get wet in the rain, so it expedited the break in. I'd say to expect 10 days of heavy use before they're broke in. 2 week review: They've formed to my feet and God! What an amazing boot! They're perfectly suited for somebody who wants a boot that will serve him and his feet well in austere conditions. All while providing comfort and breathability. Definitely a top pick for a deployment boot. Closing comments: All around amazing boot. It feels great, breathes great, does what it should, and doesn't leave my feet aching when I'm wearing it on those 18 to 20 hour days. My only complaint would be it's garrison performance. It being a mid weight boot meant for rough terrain and rough conditions, it doesn't work the best on tile/drill floors. If you happen to walk across a wet piece of tile or smooth concrete floor..... hold on! It's simply the nature of it's tread. So if you work in an office setting or a hanger, you might want to look elsewhere. Not that it won't feel great, but it slips like a mofo! This may also go away with age. My boots are still new and the rubber is still firm, so take that with a grain of salt.

Garmont T8 Bifida: the universally acclaimed best infantry boot in the world. Others come, get compared to the Bifida, excite a few people and ultimately fail to live up to the standards of comfort, durability and reliability set by this iconic product. This isn’t a fast boot. That’s the NFS. But if you work on your feet, if you hike or ruck with weight, this is a phenomenal boot.

good product, fast delivery, upper sole is a bit tight
