In 2010, an old acquaintance, Steve Keltner, a college tract star at the U of TN, came by my office to show me an invention of his. He had horrible Parkinson’s at the time and shook and squirmed the entire time he pulled it out of his bag and placed it on my conf table. A little plastic tower with 2 flimsy blades at the top, the bottom using one AA battery to tie it with Duck Tape. He touched a wire to the battery and the blades on top spun. Hmmmm. What could this be? “My mother and I would sit on her patio and have a cocktail but be bothered by flies. I went home one day and came up with this idea. It keeps flies from Invading our space.” I was instantly impressed. And suggested he present it to companies who could help distribute, like BulbHead. He did go with one of them. Not sure which one.
