No, but "copper wire inside part makes the product more durable" so that's good. I always wondered what copper wire was for in electric devices.

Will this be strong enough to filter oil through a .22 micron filter?

It doesn’t work on a .22 micron filter unfortunately I had to pull out my hand pump to work on those filters. I got the .10 micron filters by accident and it worked great on those but then you are not getting a pharmaceutical grade filtering process at that point and run the risk of some bad particles not being filtered out. Going to look into a better pump
