Obviously, the hose facilitates draining of oil into a container that can be positioned away from (and below) the engine. The hose design could be improved substantially if it were made detachable when not in use. Also, the manufacturer and/or supplier could improve the buying experience (and their bottom lines) by providing additional application information. This hose doesn't fit ONLY Honda engines; my particular application is Robin Subaru. (And I'm sure the hose will fit other engines with 14 X 1.5MM oil plugs.) For their part, Amazon would do well to include thread pitch (1.5MM) in their item description.
