A compilation of games in the acclaimed survival horror series, Resident Evil. Featuring many of the series' top titles made for play on the system, this bundle includes: Resident Evil - CODE: Veronica X, Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil 4. Review: Thank You!! - File #1 is still loads of fun. Finding secret items after you click on an area a bunch of times, gaining points, unlocking stuff, and panicking from being chased by the tyrant lol just hours of fun and frustration :) It still has me wishing that they would remake it and #2 or make a file #3 with a multiplayer option and a build-your-character option :D I already had Code Veronica, but now I wouldn't have to share with my sisters lol It's all mine :) I'll probably never buy any RE game that is after RE 4, but RE 4 is still awesome. Just don't like lugging around the President's daughter or whatever her name is lol It's pretty challenging, and the merchant, my main man hahah, supplies me. My only other complaint about the game is there rarely being an option to buy health from the merchant. My order had cost about $20.00 for this 3-box set (compared to games today). I had absolutely no problems with my order. It was prompt, and surprisingly, all of my games work (and it was "used-very good" quality) I recommend others buy this set. It's cheap and hours of zombie killing and panic lol Review: Three amazing games in excellent condition - All three games came packaged and brand new. Reasonably priced for three of the best survival horror games on the PS2. Highly recommend for any Resident Evil, PS2 game collector, or anyone interested in playing these great games.

A MUST HAVE
got this collection even tho i have them on multiple systems BUT!! the reason you most want this collection should be for outbreak , an underrated game that it was really ahead of its time before the online craze of the ps3 - 360 , back in the day when i beat it in all difficulties and got all the hidden item ( with a guide tho ) i can say with confidence this game is really amazing a true survival horror experience that deserves more recognition and love . CVX still one of my strongest RE games that i genuinely love , it's challenging has a good story & the classic survival RE gameplay that i prefere as for 4 its the most milked RE game to this day BUT!!! its in my opinion much better than 5+6 combined , this game amazingly stood up the test of time with smooth gameplay - diverse cast - very good progression & replay value . this pack is highly recommended , great value

Resident Evil Essentials
I am extremely disappointed with all three of these games, even the forth one. It may partly have to do with the fact that I played Resident Evil 4 on the wii before the PS2 so of course my outdated system would seem dismal. The games are awkward and hard. The controls are ridiculous and makes the games not very fluid. Accessing your weapons is hard, especially when you are under the stressful situation of being mauled by a bunch of zombies. The games do not provide nearly enough ammunition that you need, and you find yourself kicking and punching zombies more than using your gun. Also, unlike the wii games (where you can shake the remote and free yourself from a zombie that's attacking) you have no way to fend yourself once a zombie begins to attack you-you just have to take the damage until someone frees you or the zombie is done attacking. Overall I would not recommend these games for the PS2. I do however, highly recommend Resident Evil 4 for the wii and also the multi-player Resident Evil-Umbrella Chronicals.

good storylines bad execution
For years resident evil feels outdated even on ps3 and ps2 with tank controls that feel like it only belongs on consoles like ps1 n64 despite capcom outdated game engine there storylines for this series was amazing and well thought out before the creator of resident evil lefted capcom and later on made titles like "the evil within" since capcom new approach with this series is turning resident evil into silent hill not to get off topic but i hope u get my point anyways i want to start off to review resident evil code veronica x i already mentioned the tank controls that's in three of these titles but some are useful but others are not before i get to that here are some good things about this game u can use two weapons at the same time the storyline is great as i said before and it was good for its time despite outdated game engine that was used in re1 re2 re3 & re4 also re5 as welland here's why i think some tank controls are more useful in later games because although some doesn't feature the turn around 180 some will offer a option for u to move backwards to slowly get away from the enemies which is missing in today's games steve and ashford fanily can also get annoying not only because of the terrible voice acting and bad character development between claire and steve but i think the good thing is that wesker and chris was on point after making an appearance in this game the storyline is very interesting including re4 which some say its a instant classic but even those types of games lacki think the gameplay is a bit too fast peace for that game engine it kinda shows in ada wong campaigns also they start u off in re4 with horrible/average weapons Ashley is good when u have to play as her in story mode with resident evil classic puzzles like moving statues and other things i think all three of these games are good but not the best but its good in its own way they just should've had different ideas so these titles would've been great instead of reusing what previously titles used to have

RE4 is this collection's highlight
For the price I paid for 3 games, I would say this is worth it. Granted, Resident Evil 4 is nothing like the other 2 games accompanying it in this essentials pack. RE4 was when Capcom decided to evolutionize the Resident Evil genre from horror/survival to action/shooter. Code Veronica X has to be the hardest RE game of the genre. It's more of a complex version of the first Resident Evil and as always, the storyline is corny as the rest of the games in the RE genre. Outbreak was the most unappealing of the 3 games in this collection. By far, for the price offered, RE4 is THE best game of all the released Resident Evil games. At this price for 3 games, it's a deal/bargain!
