Pioneer DJ PLX-1000 Professional Turntable 10.80 x 18.60 x 22.30

I was looking at a Technics or this turntable. After a lot of reviews said this sounded as good and was cheaper, I went with the Pioneer. So far it sounds fantastic. It's a heavy unit, but takes up the same about of space as most Turntables. Setup isn't hard, fine tuning is a little more difficult, but not to hard. It does not come with a cartridge. I paired it with a Audio Technics AT-VM95ML. You just connect to the 4 poles and slide it on the arm. Even with buying the Cartridge it was cheaper than the Technics of the same capabilities. Assembly of the table is as simple as putting in the table. You get different tops if you want to listen or DJ And scratch. So, something for any use. The player is well laid out and has slot for the 45 adapter. As I don't need the DJ options I just reset everything to defaults and played records. The instructions included and online can walk you through a proper setup. The player does not come with an equalizer or amplifier. My receiver has a Phono input so it plugs right in. If you don't have a Phono input you'll need an external device to get the sound to line level. It comes with a RCA cable and ground wire. It does not have auto return at the end of the record. Once everything was set I tried rock, jazz, classical, and it all sounds great. The lights blue record and a white needle light at not a distraction and the needle light can be turned off. Overall, a nice turntable for home use. I'm getting back into records and this was a nice compromise between a beginner turntable and spending over a $1K for a decent turntable. All seems good to me.

I've been spinning vinyl for over 50 years as a budget conscious audiophile. Had everything from portable 3-speed record players, Dual 1219, belt drive Pioneers, and now this Pioneer PLX-1000 DJ deck. Also have a 3 year old Rega and an early 80's Sony DD with the "Bio Tracer" tone arm. From my home audiophile perspective, this turntable equals and exceeds my performance expectations. Audiophile desired features include: RCA output jacks, quick disconnect power, VTA tone arm adjustment, improved sound deadening in the base and tone arm, and a common easy change head shell on an "S" shaped tone arm. All features an audiophile may want in a sturdy, precision DD turntable. I have extra head shells with cartridges with my favorites being the AT7V MM and a Denon 301MKII MC. This deck keeps rock stable speed and is dead quiet in use, with NO tone arm bearing issues as a few have mentioned. I find this deck to be well made, well designed, and operates with precision, especially at this price point. These OEM clones of the original Technics 1200 decks share many similarities, but they each have their brand name signature on them, some better than others. The Pioneer PLX-1000 fills the need for most audiophiles on a budget. A recommended "Buy" for this use.

Excellent. Paired wit ATVM95EN cartridge, superb combo. LPs come alive. Music jumps at you. Outside of setting vta no adjustments needed. Plug and play. The quality, build and ease of use are incredible. Youtube shows some people have issues with tone arn bearings being loose on unpackaging. Others complain about tracking. Musy be older units. My tonearm bearings are as smooth as oiled glass. Tracking is dead on. Actually worth twice the price.

love this turntable I am not a dj but the sound and looks bring me back to the 70's

It's worth it, if you're thinking of buying the Pioneer DJ PLX 500 save your money and buy this one. It's so good and is worth it even if you have to buy your own cartridge for the head shell, if you're looking for a home turntable or DJ the Pioneer PLX 1000 is the best for your money the speed is on point both for the 33rpm and 45rpm with the amazing motor that it's rocking. I love the look, the blue strobe light is the best and so far the sound quality is amazing rocking a Ortofon Concorde Music Blue Phono Cartridge. Over all the function is simple and easy to use.

I purchased the Pioneer DJ PLX-1000 turntable through the official Pioneer DJ store on Amazon on February 9, 2025. Unfortunately, the product arrived with a factory defect — the platter is visibly misaligned and wobbles during playback, making it unusable for professional use. It's been over two months, and despite sending the invoice, video proof, and contacting both Amazon and Pioneer DJ multiple times, I still haven’t received a proper solution. The local service in Argentina denied the warranty because the unit wasn’t registered through their importer, even though it was bought from Pioneer DJ’s official Amazon store. The lack of support and the long delay in resolving a clear manufacturing issue is unacceptable. If you're outside the U.S., I strongly advise against purchasing from this store — you may end up with a defective product and no real support.

I returned this turntable today. I have been looking for a decent quality turntable for some time now. Until now, I had been using a heavily used Technics SL1200 MK2. It was still performing well, but the cue lever placement and tracking were off, and I just felt like I was missing something sonically. I started my search with the Audio-Technica AT-LP140XP, and sent it back. The Pioneer is markedly higher in quality. I returned the Pioneer for two reasons; the unattached lid was a pain, and more importantly, the speed was off, very slightly. The strobe showed a pattern on the platter that jittered, barely, but I could see it. This could not be heard with even the most steady tones. I should stress that this was a minor quirk that I have seen on many other turntables. I just wanted better for $700. The other issue that I dealt with was the loose tonearm bearings, but that was an easy fix. All said, this is a very solid, well built, fun to use turntable, that also happens to sound great. If you can get past the quirks mentioned above, it's a great deck. What did I replace it with? I finally went for it and bought the real deal, the Technics SL1210GR.

The product was defective and I continuous humming sound was coming out of the turntable so I and to return back the equipment

Tube unos technis m5g... Y estos son muy parecidos... La verdad son muy potentes versátiles con el +-8..16..50... Y el tacto al po er un disco es.... Maravilla!!!!

I've had many quality turntables, a mint condition Linn LP12 & a Kenwood 7010 to name a few. External build quality is not up to the standard of those decks with some plastic finishes, but it weighs a ton and the function of the unit itself is perfect, importantly the sound quality is superb. I would rate the audio quality at least on par with the other 2 tables previously listed so it is a heavy hitter. At the price, I think it's cost for the resulting audio reproduction is amazing and I would highly recommend to the fussy golden eared ones amongst us. Whether they could lower themselves to listen to a modern direct drive is another issue but the back ground is super quiet, sound staging amazing, clarity is stellar and the bass-taught, powerful & clean, definitely more bottom end bravado than what I'm accustomed too. The deck was a breeze to set up, I would highly recommend this great value turntable.

Received my Pioneer PLX-1000 month ago. The TT quality is good. But be prepared for some custom adjustment. There are some differences from "parent" Technics TT. The minimum cartridge height for this TT is 19mm, but lot of cartridges have the 18mm height. So, it was required to use 2mm shim with Ortofon cartridge to correctly set VTA. Also the overhang is 54mm instead of 52mm, so its not possible to use the Technics Needle Adjustment Gauge. Overal this TT is excelent.

Piatto professionale per dj realizzato con cura dal noto marchio. Lo chassis è piuttosto pesante e ben isolato da piedi regolabili per una messa in bolla fine, a garanzia di un ottimo isolamento dalle vibrazioni. Molto preciso lo strobo. Classico braccio a “s” con attacco a baionetta per la shell (in dotazione ma senza testina). L’ho comprato per utilizzo hi fi, quindi non userò le funzioni di pitch control se non per la curiosità di qualche breve esperimento, ma non ho trovato di meglio a questo prezzo, almeno a mio parere. Con la puntina giusta suona molto bene. Io ho montato una Ortofon 2M red e mi piace già così, ma è un piatto che potrebbe meritarsi anche una bronze o una black. Molto soddisfatto soprattutto in relazione alla cifra sborsata.
