Nice quality units. Very easy to fit, less than five minutes once bonnet is up! Works well, switches on and off easily. Arcs a little when switched on as expected so with prolonged use may need cleaning on contact surfaces. Don’t over-tighten battery terminals or it may snap or damage when fitting. Keep it clean so no electrical tracking can take place which would cause slow discharge of battery. Make sure that there is room for it to fit next to the battery. Only fits on the negative terminal, makes it a little safer for DIY fitters when using a spanner near the battery, -presuming negative ground vehicles! Should increase life of battery as a good battery will only need a top-up charge occasionally. Definitely slows discharge times. Wish I had found these years ago instead of taking the terminal off every time!!

Cost effective. Does just what I wanted. Design fault on car flattened battery in 4 days when unused. I can now isolate battery for days and the car starts when I need it to.

After asking my local car electrics for a stereo or battery cut off switch and being refused I accidentally came across this on amazon while looking for quick release battery terminals. I bought a stereo which was draining my van battery every 5 days. Now with these i just turn the button off leave my van for weeks get into the van turn switch on and van starts up right away. This is an ideal product for anyone who’s vehicle battery is being drained due to some car electrical fault or electric add on which drains their car battery. Highly recommended!!

Battery isolation at its simplest form Good value and mechanically simple so very little to go wrong. Easy quick way to disconnect and reconnect a battery without needing spanner’s. Pretty much identical to the much more expensive variety of these isolation devices.

I have been fitting these to various cars, and they are great quality. Simple to fit over the negative terminal, and they can then be used to disconnect the battery by turning the top wheel. Perfect for any car which isn’t used regularly, and of course you don’t need to remember your spanners when going to the lock up! I’ve also found that old battery clamps get damaged and are difficult to take on & off - with these you only need to attach the clamp once & don’t need to ever take it off again. I smear everything with Vaseline when fitting, and have found no issues with these isolators at all - some on the market are cheap and flimsy, but these are nice and sturdy. Highly recommended.

Purchased these as we have a parasitic drain on the car battery. Thus the battery keeps going dead despite solving the known problem. Enter this device it’s still an annoying process having to open the door with the key, open the bonnet and turn the battery on. But it removes the need to take spanner’s and tools every time and physically having to remove the negative battery terminal. With this device you just untighten the green screw and the battery is disconnected. So it does definitely save some time, hassle and getting oil on your hands every time. I do have a slight worry (unfounded probably just paranoia) that the battery is going to suddenly disconnect while driving with this item installed but so far it’s worked perfectly and is probably just me being paranoid So yea I would recommend this product if you need to disconnect your car battery after every use as it is absolutely easier and quicker than physically with the use of a spanner disconnecting the negative battery terminal!. Just make sure you lock your car doors before unscrewing/disconnecting the battery as you’ll then not be able to lock them. Like I did first time, which was my fault of course.

It's a switch, it should be simple. Using a meter measuring resistance, the switch appeared to be open or closed correctly. Once fitted to the car, switched on, it passed 12+ volts, no trouble. However, in the off position, it was still leaking 2.6 volts, so not exactly isolated. The metal seems quite soft. Although stamped with CE markings, it appears to be the usual far east manufacture. I would not recommend. I have not got the time or inclination to raise the issue with the supplier.

Article très bien conçu et facile à mettre en place. Mais attention si votre batterie est située dans une cage sous le siège ou ailleurs sans espace autour des cosses, alors vous ne pourrez pas l’installer. C’est ce qui m’est arrivé et j’ai dû le retourner à regret pour non compatibilité pour manque de place pour l’installer dans la cage de la batterie du C8.

These are good for isolating battery from the electrical system. Seems as though with newer vehicles there is always a light or something that slowly drains the battery. Since installing one the pickup sat for over 8 months and when this was tightened back up it started right away. Battery was still fully charged. I bought the pickup second hand and was having trouble with intermittent power loss to the system when operating the pickup. Turned out he contact area on this device was corroded from arcing from not being tightened down properly which was causing the problem. Take note that this device should be looked at with every oil changed and serviced when needed.

It is effective. Good quality product. Obviously cost is high.
