When I ordered these, I honestly didn't expect much from them. Having had plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis for several years, I have experienced the failure of many products over the years. But there were so many great reviews, I decided to give them a try. When they arrived, I was really disappointed, because they are so thin and looked like something you would buy at a dollar store. I tried them out the first time at night, putting them on before bed. But they made the top of my feet itch, so I took them off and figured I had wasted my money once again. A few days later, I saw them on the nightstand and decided to try to wear them during the day, at work. So I put them on, and put my socks on over them. Not bad, didn't really bother me. (luckily, I am able to wear athletic shoes at work) After about 3 hours, I completely forgot I had them on! They were truly comfortable. Usually, by about hour 5, I have to take my shoes off for a while to give my feet a break. But at the end of my 8 hour shift, it occurred to me that, not only did I not have to take off my shoes all day, but my feet didn't hurt! I have honestly never had that positive of a result from a product. I've done the ice packs, the night splints, the physical therapy, the cortisone injections - you name it, I've tried it. But these little socks really helped me like nothing else ever has!!! And after wearing them, my feet felt great. When I took off my shoes at home, there was no pain at all. And even the next morning, I didn't limp when I first got out of bed, like I usually do. I just ordered 2 more pair. When I measured my arch, it was right at 9.5 inches, so I was torn between a Medium and a Large. I went with the Large, which is perfect for me. I was worried they may be too loose, but they are just right. I don't know if they will work for you, but they definitely work for me!

First of all I don't have any affiliation with this company or its owners. I say this because my 5 stars is given for two reasons; (1) the compression socks really work for my 63 year old- million- miles -on -the -pedometer feet (2( their customer service is amazing, not that I needed it. They contacted me the day they arrived with helpful tips on how to "install" them, and then they followed up again. The product works well, I felt a difference after leaf blowing my very hilly property for two hours (25 lb backpack leaf blower), my feet are usually throbbing and my ankles complaining, but with the compression socks I was able to join my wife on our fast 2 mile walk immediately afterwards.The material is strong, thin,and don't bulk up my shoes w/socks.For the price they are an excellent value.

Been hobbling around for six months. Tried stretches, shoe inserts, etc. All worked after a fashion. I take my first 10 steps in the morning in pain. Got these socks yesterday, wore the right foot last night. No pain at all this morning. The sock was very very tight and was a little uncomfortable, but obviously that is what it needs to be. Will continue to use it and see if I get use to it, but "it works". I would rather be a little uncomfortable during the night then in pain all day. PS - I did not wear them to work and after 12 hours on concrete and steel grating, still no pain. Love it.Night two - less tight at night, but still no pain all day even though I only wear the right one while I'm sleeping. I walk around 5 to 7 miles on concrete and steel grating per day.UPDATE:OK, it is almost one year later - March of 2018...I wore these on my right foot every night for about four months. A few (maybe 5 times) I had to take it off during the night because it was uncomfortable, but otherwise no problem. After that four months I stopped wearing them and still no planters fasciitis reoccurrence. It has completely gone away. I am truly impressed.

Excellent product! Always use to wearing boots for work over many years with no problems from my flat feet. When I started wearing just my New Balance shoes for a different job, pain started in my heel/Achilles tendon. I did get some show inserts but decided to get these when the pain barely subsided with inserts.Using the chart, I measured an 11 (large) and went with the size bigger as recommended for wide feet.I put the supports on and thought they felt kind of loose, not tight as the follow up email explaining how to "break them in". I emailed the company at like 10 pm est and got an almost immediate response!I explained that the XL felt sort of loose, not tight, when I first put them on and had been wearing them for hours with no pain issues. I mentioned I maybe should have went with the large, not XL.After a couple emails, my money was refunded and I then purchased a size large shortly after.The large size is a perfect fit!

1st Elite Foot Sleeves are great. I am a physician and I injured by left Achilles tendon hiking with improper shoes. Over the last four months I managed to re-injure it several times. At first I used an ACE with modest pressure to isolate the Achilles from its insertion on the heel, but the best I could do was to keep it in place about 40% of the time. The 1st Elite foot sleeves work as well as the ACE, but they stay in place and fit into boots and exercise shoes. Now I have correct placement 100% of the time and have healed more in the last few weeks than I had in the many months previous. The product is nicely made and durable. Clearly a bargain, works as well as prescribed orthopedic appliances for a tiny fraction of the price. When hiking season rolls around again I plan to wear the sleeves for added support and protection.
