One of the best watches you can buy for the money!
I’ve owned quite a few watches over the years and the Casio Duro MDV106 honestly deserves the reputation it has. For the money, this thing is hard to beat. I originally picked it up as a cheap everyday beater watch and it quickly turned into one of my favorite grab-and-go pieces. The size sounds large on paper but it wears really well, especially if you like traditional dive watches. The bezel action on mine is surprisingly solid and the watch feels much more expensive than it actually is. The dial is easy to read, the lume is decent, and the screw-down crown gives it a more solid feel than a lot of watches anywhere near this price range. Mine has handled daily wear, water, bumps around the firehouse, and general abuse without any issues. Pros: Excellent value for the money Classic dive watch look Surprisingly solid construction Easy to read dial Reliable quartz movement Great everyday beater watch Cons: Factory strap is just okay Mineral crystal will scratch eventually if you wear it hard Slightly large for smaller wrists Overall this is one of those watches that completely lives up to the hype. Whether you’re into watches or just want a dependable everyday piece, the Duro is tough to beat at this price point.

The venerable Duro, enough said.
The venerable Casio Duro, what else is there to say. Solid, well built, keeps excellent time and looks great. An amazing value.

Excellent and Durable Watch for Everyday and Water Activities
Design and Construction: The Casio MDV106 boasts a sturdy stainless steel case that ensures exceptional durability. The 44 mm diameter gives it a solid and robust look without being too large. The resin band is both comfortable and flexible, making it suitable for prolonged use and resistant to daily wear and tear. Water Resistance: This watch is perfect for aquatic activities, offering water resistance up to 200 meters (WR 200M). I’ve used it while swimming and even for recreational diving, and it performs flawlessly under significant water pressure without any issues. Functionality: Equipped with a precise Japanese quartz movement, the MDV106 keeps accurate time. The date function located at the 3 o'clock position is convenient for everyday use. The unidirectional bezel is particularly useful for measuring time intervals, which is great for diving. Aesthetics: The design is both classic and sporty. The black dial contrasts beautifully with the luminous hands and markers, making it easy to read even in low light conditions. The minimalist and clean design makes it versatile enough to wear for both formal and casual occasions. Conclusion: The Casio MDV106 Series is an exceptional analog watch that combines durability, functionality, and style. Its impressive water resistance and robust construction make it ideal for water sports enthusiasts, while its elegant design makes it perfect for daily wear. I highly recommend this watch for anyone looking for a reliable and attractive timepiece.

A Watch Well Worth It
The Duro is one of the best entry level watches on the market. The price point is ridiculously low for the quality you get with the watch. The only average thing with the watch is its strap. It does the job but it can easily be upgraded with aftermarket band options. I paid more for upgraded bracelets and FKM straps for the Duros in my collection than I paid for the watches themselves. Those purchases have been worth it and make the watch look even better. I have more expensive dive/tool watches but often default to wearing a Duro for water and outdoor activities because it can handle them. The unilateral bezel is nice and the screw down crown is easy to operate. The mineral glass watch face works well. The quartz movement stays accurate maybe only gaining +5 seconds per month. There are plenty of reasons why Casio has produced and sold so many of these watches. If you’re patient, you’ll find them at the right price to purchase.

Unbelievable Value That Looks Far More Expensive
The Casio MDV-106G-1AV is an absolute standout and easily earns a five-star rating. Right out of the box, it looks fantastic. It is clean, bold, and far more refined than its price would suggest. I am happy to see that the second hand hits all the second indicators very well and the 120-click bezel aligns perfectly. Additionally, it is keeping perfect time. I’ve received numerous compliments wearing it the last few days, and the reaction is always the same: disbelief when I mention it’s a Casio that costs around $50-60 dollars. What really elevates this watch is pairing it with a two-tone jubilee stainless steel bracelet from Island Watch Company. With that upgrade, it becomes a true head-turner and genuinely punches well above its total price point of just under $120.00. The weight becomes better balanced on the wrist and the coloring matches perfectly as you can see from my photos. The combination gives it a much more premium look and feel, rivaling watches several times the cost. The only weak point, the reason for adding the after-market bracelet, is the factory black composite band. It leaves a lot to be desired in both comfort and appearance. That said, the watch’s versatility more than makes up for it. It’s incredibly easy to swap out straps and bracelets, which opens the door to customizing it exactly how you want. All in all, this is a stylish, versatile, and ridiculously good-value watch that over-delivers in every way. Five stars without hesitation.

Definitely worth the purchase! Almost perfect
I consider myself and by peers as definitely a watch collector and enthusiast at atleast at some level. I have everything Casio DW5600s to Omegas, Rolex Daytonas and know brands like Greubel Forsey and Alange-Soehne Phenomenal watch, accurate, and I used to work in a high end 4 star hotel in a exceptionally wealthy area with very wealthy clients and have gotten complimented on this watch many times, more times than even my Rolex Explorer 2 ever did. And to non watch people they’ve literally asked if it was Rolex. My only issue is the mineral glass does scratch a little too easily: The gold color option was not tacky or fake looking and wore well as an everyday or casual. I’m purchasing another one and having the crystal replaced with sapphire through a customizer though.

Classy and sporty all in one!
I already had and rave about the duro…. I have one that I changed to a Jubilee bracelet. And I felt so in love with a watch that I ended up getting one in with a gold basil. I ended up swapping the rubber bands for something a little more classy leather so that way I can wear it to go out. Single-handedly it has destroyed my whole Watch collection. Both of these watches because one I use for diving and the other one I used to go out. I travel often. And this is class enough to go out anywhere in the world. Without breaking the bank. And if something were to happen if I were to lose it. I wouldn’t cry bloody murder because I spent thousands on it. I spent $19 on some nice leather straps and $52 on a sale on Amazon. It’s very easy to use. The lumens on the watch are amazing. It is glass so it does scratch, but mine hasn’t yet. Battery life I’m yet to test it. Very versatile watch can be used for water activities as it is fully submergible on my previous review with a picture.

Best watch buy of the year
The watch is beautiful, well made and looks a lot more expensive than it is, the only downside is the strap, quite frankly it’s ugly and cheap, but as you can see in the photos a nato strap or a metal band can make the watch look a lot more elegant and look a million dollars

Great value
In a world of cheap quartz fashion watches that go for several times what the Duro is priced at this watch is a no brainer to me. It punches significantly above its weight in terms of the quality you get for the price. It is surprisingly well finished, feels solid as a rock and has really great specs. The rotating bezel feels decent, the screw down crown works well. There is nothing much to complain about in a watch that is priced for less then a tank of gas these days. Design wise it looks great, the sunburst dial looks fantastic in the light. If you are looking for an inexpensive watch as a daily reliable beater that is different then the G-shock look, this is a great call. Don’t discount this as just a generally nice watch to add to a collection as well though, it really is just nice solid piece. I think everyone should have a solid quartz option in their collection. The watch strap is functional and comfortable but I highly recommend upgrading it. I put mine on a black NATO strap and find it significantly upgraded the look and comfort. Straps are not expensive and it is not hard to switch it out. Lots of YouTube videos to show you exactly how. It is a large watch, but I think it will sit well for all but maybe the very smallest wrists. Again for the price, I can’t think of any reason to not give it a try. If by some chance you don’t like it, I am sure there is someone you could gift it to who would love it.

Fantastic dive watch, 200m water resistance. Reliable movement, great case finishing. With the fish logo on the dial which we can’t get in the UK. It arrived in good packaging and in new condition as described by the seller. Arrived very quickly from Japan to the uk. I would highly recommend this seller,
