Turn the temperature of the oven down as the pot gets very hot and holds the heat so more economical cooking too. Perfect and delighted with this dish.

I am 77 with back problems and I can still handle it safely for the time being. Really heavy casserole dish and perfect for smaller stews etc for two people. Love the colour and the hotpot cooked in it was perfect. Turn the temperature of the oven down as the pot gets very hot and holds the heat so more economical cooking too. Perfect and delighted with this dish.

Hard to review something I have only had a couple of days and used once but views so far are:- Great for baking sourdough bread. (the reason a bought it) Yes, it's heavy but what do you expect? It is cast iron. Nice and easy to clean. Just give it a soak and it washes up easy. The only reason I deducted a star is because it arrived chipped and this was NOT down to the postage. Due to the location of the chip it is obvious this was chipped prior to manufacture packaging.
