We purchased three of these hydrants to use on our metal building. Since we have livestock on the property that likes to rub up against pointy things to scratch their skin, it was important to have a smooth surface to our water spigots so the animals wouldn't break any piping (they've already destroyed the tail light on our trailer, the stinkers). The Aquor is extremely well built and feels like a tank. definitely NOT your run-of-the-mill orange/blue box cheapie. Yes, it's expensive. It's also worth it. Looks great and feels like a million bucks. The welds are beautiful and the whole product feels like it will last forever. The only tiny niggle I have with it is that I could not use the cheaper wood/siding screws that came in the box. We have a metal building with 12 gauge steel sides and I had to get stainless bolts with heads that fit the holes on the mounting plate, as well as washers and nylock nuts for the inside. Not a huge deal but it added some time. The good news is that now the thing feels solid and doesn't rock in place in the wall. Only other thing I'll say is that whatever adhesive they use for the mounting plate is extremely sticky. I couldn't get some of the white sticker residue off of our black siding and now it looks messy and gross. Not sure how I'm going to manage that. If you have brick siding it probably won't be a problem. Overall, would definitely buy again. It cost a couple hundred per hose bib for my plumber to install each bib, so I figured getting a quality one that'll never have to be revisited is the thing to do. It's also nice that all of the seals are serviceable from the outside in case anything ever needs to be replaced. There's definitely a market on the "high end" of the price spectrum for products that spare no expense getting the job done right. Given the increasing complexity of our lives as well as the cost and hassle of replacing any of the (growing) number of cheap devices around us when they fail. I'd happily pay 2 or 3x (or more) for a "lifetime" product that is a pleasure to use and that I won't ever have to worry about again. The Aquor hose bibs seem to be built to that standard. I hope I'm right!

While we had some walls open for some renovation work I decided to also replace an older leaky brass hose bib while I had easy access to the pipe. After looking around a bit I came across the Aquor Wall Hydrant and was very excited to give it a go! This product is awesome in many ways.... 1) The hose bib on the front of the house is right next to the front door so having a MUCH more aesthetically pleasing faucet, one that is virtually invisible, was a very worth upgrade over an old brass faucet. 2) We live in Colorado so having to put a cover over the hose bib every winter just looks like crap on the front of the house and is annoying to have to take off and on when wanting to use a hose. Not having to winterize the hose bib every year will be a joy. 3) Being of a higher build quality I'm looking forward to not having to ever fix or replace the unit (hopefully). At least for a very very long time. Much longer then a standard brass hose bib. Installation was relatively easy. Even though we were doing a retrofit we did decide to go with the V2 versus the V1 in order to have the vacuum breaker built in. Since the facade of the house was brick we did have to do some chiselling out of the hole in order to get the unit to fit but it really wasn't too big of a deal. Because of needing to chisel the brick out more we did run into the screw holes on the unit being mighty close to the opening and being in brick it was risky to try and use anchors (too close to opening and risked making the hole too big and not being able to screw in at all). Since we were just doing screws right into the brick and the brick being a little crumbly we did find that once fastened that the unit wasn't as secure and tight as I would have liked it. After our initial install I did see that they sell plates (stainless steel or wood) that you can use as backers either for brick or stucco. I would strongly encourage using the backer if attaching it to brick or stucco. We went with the stainless steel backer plate and it both looks great and allowed us to use anchors and move the screw holes a little further away from the main hole opening for the unit. Overall a very worthy investment.

Saw the Aquor House Hydrant come to my design feed somehow on Houzz, or YouTube & researched it before purchasing. It’s interesting the design came from college students @ U of Wash! I love the Aquor’s sleek, low profile, unobtrusive look for a hose bib, and water performance. It’ll look great from my back patio deck, vs the old, ugly spigot. This is a great product and worth the install and product cost. The HH product is extremely sturdy, with a heavy, solid metal pipe & they give you stainless steel screws. It’s rated to last 20-30 yrs, per Matt Risinger of the Build Show’s video on the Aquor site. There’s a lot of marketing paperwork inside, along w a free straight connector. You should definitely buy the angled hose connector w the shut off ability, as the straight connector doesn’t have a shut off and shoots/streams quite a distance more than the angled hose. Made w a composite plastic (Delrin acetal rsin polymer), it’s crush proof to 200+ lbs (if run over by a car’s wheels). It’s mid Nov & freezing in MA @ night, and I love that the HH is frost free, and one less thing to winterize, but I’ll probably still turn off the water line in the fall. Purchased both 10” and 12”, but installed the 10”. The instructions should be clearer that if you’re in a cold climate, to choose the longer pipe so it’s further away from the cold outside wall & well inside the house. I have 2x6 construction, and an open basement, not closed up. Had a handyman install the mounting block with metal flashing on top & Aquor HH. I was lucky to find a terrific handyman/plumber from the Aquor website, under Installers, who did 25+ installs. Took 1.5 hrs, but the handyman also did some extra work to prevent an overly extended PEX from kinking & being pulled too far out by a plumber in the future. I looked at 3 different mounting block choices and the cedar siding will be replaced with James Hardie fiber cement siding, I went w/ a ¾” thick PVC mounting block; as didn’t want the flimsy vinyl, uninsulated one from the big box, orange store. I didn’t change the HH cover color yet, waiting for siding to be replaced before deciding between stainless, black or white. We will have white trim & windows, black doors, pale green siding. The extra right hole in the pictures was a plugged up hot water spigot, at one point, and won't be seen after the new siding's up. I spoke with 2 plumbers who didn’t think the HH was worth it, & didn’t like a separate hose connector that could be lost. I like the design, it adds to the house’s aesthetics & they are old school. The box comes with a straight hose connector, and they’ll give you another if you write an honest Amazon review. The other thing was I tried to find a solution from the Aquor engineers by contacting their Chat line. I wanted their help in figuring out how to tie the Aquor system with a 6 zone sprinkler system that requires a backflow preventer (Watts), and where the sprinkler water lines have to be blown out with compressed air every fall, thru a front of house spigot, on an exterior front wall. The whole system is super ugly in the front of my porch, and was too complicated for Aquor to figure out. Maybe they will have a solution in the future. However, they ghosted me, never emailed me back, nor did the Chat line person after I emailed her twice. They should’ve simply said they don’t have a solution right now.

I have had this Aquor Wall Hydrant V2+ installed for about a month now and it has been fantastic. First, once the hose is connected there is no leak/drip at the hydrant. In the pictures you can see how the slow drip from where the hose connected to the old bibb started to create a drip stain on the siding (which needs to be painted, but that is not because of the Aquor). Second, because this faces the street, the improved appearance of the stainless cover makes a huge difference. It is one of those small things that will make you smile every time you see it. Something that I will need to do in the future, probably when I re-paint the siding, is add a block or one of Aquor's stainless blocks so that when the hose is disconnected from the drain it avoids getting any drips on the siding. Some things to consider to decide if the Aquor is right for you: 1. The flow is entirely controlled by connecting one of the Aquor connectors and it is either on full blast or not connected. For me this is no problem, I can easily regulate the flow at the other end of the hose with a nozzle and to be able to shut off water to the hose without disconnecting it I plan to buy Aquor's 45 degree connecter with a 1/4 turn valve. 2. Installation is pretty easy if you are decently comfortable handling a drill. Any connectors that you may need can easily be purchased from any hardware store (e.g. push-to-connect fittings and pex pipe). You really don't require any special tools beyond a 1 1/2 inch hole saw and maybe a jab saw. Then depending on what you're connecting to you may need something to cut the supply pipe. The rest can be done with push connect fittings and a wrench. 3. To retrofit it (like I did) you will need access to the hose supply pipe. For me installation was easy, the wall where the supply line is in the garage is very easy to access so I only needed to use the included drill template sticker and a hole saw to enlarge the hose bibb penetration (very clear instructions on how to do this are included). Then just cut the supply pipe, used a 90 degree elbow, some pex and 1 more threaded connector to connect to the Wall Hydrant V2+ and I was done. In total it only took me about 45 minutes to install after a 5 minute trip to the big orange store. TLDR; looks great, works great, easy to install if you have any DIY ability whatsoever.

This is my second Aquor hydrant that I have installed in my house. Hands down best looking spigot/hydrant you can install especially when combined with the stainless steel lids (40 dollar extra). However there are things you need to understand before purchasing. First I have used 2 separate professional plumbers to help with each install. One was installed over a year ago and one installed this week. I was installing to replace existing frost free spigot that had starting leaking. In both installs the plumbers had never installed one before and I had to walk them through the install (I had watched the YouTube videos so explain was easy) I had even called the office and let them know what the plumber was installing so they could have the proper tools on the truck. There is a list of things to tell the plumber on the website. In both cases I had to cut holes in the sheet rock due to the builder not leaving any access pex tube in the walls. The plumbers had to cut small 6X6 square holes in both cases. Easy wall fixes if you have experience in this or you can do what I did the second instal and just put in a 6x6 access panel and the hole is fixed in about 5 minutes. I bought the panel on Amazon and cost 10 dollars. New construction this is a no brainer have these installed, Existing construction, just beware that if doing yourself you will need some tools and about 3 hours from start to finish and you will also need to know how to connect pex tubing if newer construction or a mix of hard pipe and pex if an older home. Plumbers are expensive and cost me 2 hours of labor on both installs at 300 dollars both times. Average price to buy and install with plumbers is about 500 dollars with the stainless steel covers per unit. Would I recommend them, yes I would 100% recommend them they are functional, long lasting and beautiful. Original install has been working flawlessly for 2 years. I have received many compliments on them. I used 6 inch units in both cases and we live in western Washington where we get freezing weather for multiple months. One last note if going into an interior wall the 6 was fine but this last init was on an exterior wall and would have been an easier install with a 12 inch unit. If you have a frost free unit you can turn of the water (whole house cut off) and then remove the handle and stem to see how long of a unit is there. Hope this helps someone.

So, I recently got my hands on the House Hydrant/Hose Bib, and let me tell you, it wasn't the easiest thing to install. The darn template they gave me wasn't very sticky, so I had to secure it with some extra tape. But hey, once I got past that hurdle, everything went smoothly. And let me tell you, this thing is a game-changer when it comes to connecting and disconnecting hoses. It's like magic! No more struggling with traditional hose bibs or dealing with stubborn connections. Just hook it up or disconnect it in no time. Sure, it took some effort, but trust me, it's totally worth it. Plus, the House Hydrant is built tough, so no leaks or drips to worry about. And it works with different hose sizes, so you can use it for all your watering needs. Despite the installation hassle, I'm seriously loving the convenience this thing brings. Highly recommend it if you want a quick and hassle-free hose connection experience.

I discovered the Aquor company and its V2+ water hydrant on a social media video site. I was looking for ways to update my home and the algorithm went to work. The video was from a random handyman review channel where his friend also did the installation. It looked simple enough for me so I figured, "screw it, lets go." If you feel comfortable with power tools, this shouldn't be challenging for you. I came here and ordered everything I figured I'd need that I could find - accessories, the hydrant, the color lid I liked, and Aquor's elbow connection. The rest I picked up at the local "large blue home improvement retail chain." The only thing I needed from the store was the vinyl mounting block you see in my photos. I put a small piece of wood in the mounting block to make the Aquor's mounting screws have something to grip on to better. The hydrant feels high quality, as did all the parts. It has a nice weight and clean lines. The packaging was a nice surprise too. I expected it to come O.E.M. style - cardboard box with little to no padding and/or documentation. Instead it came in a retail type of packaging with Styrofoam, pamphlets, and inserts inside. It also included one proprietary hose connector. It also came with a "mounting sticker" which is super important. It took all the guesswork out of the install. Look up a video and follow the guide sticker. I can honestly say it wasn't difficult at all. The only issue I ran into was that behind my home's vinyl siding was concrete and not wood, where I wanted to mount it. I could have rented the tool needed to drill the recommended hole but I ask my electrician to do it. A hole is a hole and they drill for conduit. I wanted everything in before I had a plumber run the water line. I finally found a handyman who could run a water line for me since plumbers in my area are booked out for months. He asked why I did not have the plumber who installed the Aquor, finish the job. "NOPE, I did it myself by following the instructions, my guy!" I do not feel comfortable enough to tackle the plumbing, nor do I have the proper tools. It works great and I love it. It's been argued that the hose connectors are "just another thing to lose." I bought one for each hose and left them attached, done, problem solved. I kept the packaging caps for the connectors and put them back on the gasket ends (same they came on) after fully draining the hoses. If you can't have nice things because you do not maintain them, then I suggest you stay with a regular spigot/bib and the cheap hoses you keep replacing. If you're a homeowner who take pride in caring for your home, this is a must buy! A piece advice for any readers who live where it reaches sub zero temps, buy the hydrant with the longest pipe.

Best hose bib on the market by far. Don’t need to worry about frost, well made and no more messing with conventional gate type or quarter turn valves.

We finally fitted this before winter and it works really well it's so easy to connect and easy to use, it took a bit of time drilling holes in wall, but once connected looks great

This is a fantastic product for a nice clean look. It does come with everything needed to set it up but i would recommend an experienced plumber to install it as it does have to go through the wall and will require an additional cutout for the extra vent below. Like any custom product, it does require you to use their proprietary click lock hose attachment, but it comes with the main one that you will require. So far, it has weathered the winter nicely.

I just had some hardie plank put around the house and wanted something that looks elegant as well as functional instead of an outside tap that you have to cover in the winter to stop it freezing. I decided on the Aquor wall hydrant for it looks, on receipt it was really sturdy and well made, took a couple of minutes to drill hole using template and secure through wall, from there it was really simple to connect to water source. Really pleased with look and functionality of this product
