Icebreaker Merino Men's Departure Ii Button Down Shirt for Travel, Merino Wool

This shirt is nice quality and fit well in the shoulders. It was a good length. However, if you have a thick chest, the XXL was too tight in the chest. I have a 49" chest and it was just too tight under the armpits

I have had no problems so far with this shirt. I have had it only for a few weeks but I took it with me to Ethiopia and washed it many times by hand with no issues. It dried in a matter of an hour or two. It never had a bad smell at all like cotton shirts do. It is MUCH more comfortable than my NorthFace FlashDry shirts. They are 100% polyester and the Icebreaker is 100% wool. Everyone I asked to tell me what material they thought my shirt was said "cotton." Even others could tell it was a soft, comfortable shirt. The FlashDry shirts also attract lint with a vengeance and the Icebreaker doesn't at all. The Icebreaker is more expensive but much easier to wear and is a better product all around.

The fabric and style is as expected. Fit is the problem: It fits normally through the torso, but the shoulders are too narrow and the sleeves are much too short. Because of the tight shoulders and very short sleeves, I had to return it. Getting a size up wouldn't have helped---it would have been way too bulky around the chest and waist. If you're below average height or have narrow shoulders & short arms, this might work well.

Nice style, great fabric, wish they came in more color choices or solids. There are cheaper options which its biggest knock but more than likely you'll end up looking like you're going on a safari.

It probably would have been wonderful if it weren't two sizes missized.

Good shirt, little bit big for me, but good otherwise.

Dass Departure Shirt von Icebreaker ist ein richtig schönes Hemd, das in natura weitaus besser aussieht als auf der Abbildung. Die Grundfarbe ist etwas dunkler - eher ein gedecktes weiß, die schwarzen Karos fallen kräftiger aus wie auf dem Bild. Die anders strukturierte Knopfleiste ist richtig peppig, hat einen Folklore-touch und erinnert etwas an ein Trachtenhemd. Der Stoff fühlt sich toll an und ist aus so fein gewebter Wolle, dass man meinen könnte, es sei schwere Baumwolle. Durch die dichte Webart ist das Hemd allerdings schwerer als Kunstfaserhemden und wiegt in Größe XL 302 g.Das Shirt fällt etwas kleiner aus. Normalerweise habe ich bei Hemden Größe L, hier passt mir XL (lange Arme und etwas luftiger). Der große Vorteil des Hemdes ist, dass es nicht müffelt, auch wenn man es zwei oder drei Tage unter einer Hard- oder Softshelljacke getragen und es durchgeschwitzt hat. Der Schweiß wird gut absorbiert und das Hemd trocknet ziemlich schnell. Ich habe mittlerweile vier Stück davon in verschiedenen Farben und Designs: zwei mit kurzen und zwei mit langen Armen. Der reguläre Preis ist recht hoch und wäre mir zu teuer. Doch ich konnte alle vier Hemden zu deutlich herabgesetzten Preisen erwerben. Bei einem reduzierten Preis: klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ich finde diese Merinowoll-Hemden genial. Die Sommerqualität fühlt sich an wie ein normales Hemd und sieht auch so aus.Kann aber länger getragen werden und ist unempfindlich, was auf Reisen von großem Vorteil ist. Waschen und bügeln, kein Problem.
