Great for GI Stasis
I am extremely happy, they sent me this so fast. I was so desperate and it got here the next day!-To be safe I would pay asap delivery (I didnโt because I had other feedings) This product made my job so much easier because he liked it. My rabbit was going through GI stasis, I ran out of the critical food my vet prescribed. I was then force feeding this owbow and he hated me lol. It was quite the fight every feeding. My rabbit did not have much of an appetite but once I gave him a taste of the appetite stimulate he was looking for more. I had to syringe feed him the food packets and I went with my veterinarian instructions. He would eat on his own small amounts and I would increase feeding times I was in between jobs so I fed him every 2-3hours around the clock. It wasnโt hard because he was willing only by syringe. Waking up throughout the night was hard, but I did it. Itโs not bad because he was more hungry at nights (that was motivation for me) and it would take less than 10-15 minutes total . When I worked (3)12 I fed him 6am, came home for lunch (I didnโt eat) 12pm, 7:50p, 11pm, 1am , 4am (I know it was crazy) When I worked my new job (5) 8hour I fed him: 6am,3:00 usually, 6p, 9p,12am,3am I didnโt feed him the whole packet I fed based on my veterinarian amount and what my rabbit would allow. Point is do what you can. If financially possible you can hire someone to make visit(s) to feed your rabbit while at work. Itโs not expensive. I didnโt know these people existed. Heโs so much better, completely eating on his own. Donโt give up. My rabbit is a mini Rex - anyone who has the same breed should absolutely have this on hand, they are at extreme high risk. This is my 4th time dealing with GI stasis and sometimes it just happens. I had rabbits for 30years and this is the first rabbit I ever had to experience Gi stasis with. First picture with him laying down flat, you can tell heโs not feeling well, in pain, this is the day I went to the veterinary ER. He lost weight. 2nd picture he is feeling so much better, following me around the house. I can tell heโs thankful.

Saved my bunny
This stuff is amazing! I did not need to actually syringe feed him this go around because I started him on it when I noticed the problem early and he likes it. I actually used the appetite stimulant in it for a few times. I didnโt actually know that making sure his teeth stayed short involved his back teeth too, not just his incisors!. Iโd look at his nice short front ones and think all was well. Not so! His chest and neck kept looking wet and I thought it was the water bowl but he was actually drooling from discomfort. The vet gave him Metacam for pain and I had to feed him this a few times and day and only feed hay otherwise, preferably 1st cut. She had mentioned a specialist and surgery but I canโt afford that. This is working! He is eating hay and grinding his teeth pain free. The vet said pellets (more than a tiny amount like 2TBS) was bad for him. Also Iโve always given him rabbit safe vegetables and fruits in small amounts but those things make them not hungry enough for hay and thatโs 80% of his diet. Iโm not to fall for it when he runs up to me when I open the fridge. Instead I make sure he has high quality 1st cut hay at all time such as Small Pets Select, Oxbow or even Eaton brand and a small amount of pellets and hopefully he will grind down his teeth. She also said bananas can ferment in his stomach so outside of a little nibble 1-2 time per mo they are off limits. I donโt know why God made rabbits to have to eat hay but we have to convince them other than we brought them indoors and changed up their whole world. His sister has never experienced any issues like this. Iโm so grateful for this emergency kit!!

Literally a lifesaver
One of my bunnies has had chronic digestive issues with frequent bouts of GI stasis. The other formulas provided by both my vet and the emergency vet (Critical Care and Selective) are not tolerable to my bunny and most of it ends up on me! Thank God for Sherwood, not only does my bunny let me syringe feed this to him, but I can actually put it in a bowl, and he'll eat it all on his own! I'm not surprised because unlike the others, this smells so fresh and good. This has been a lifesaver and has given my bunny his health back. The packets of appetite stimulant are a much-added benefit to help with recovery. Better than yucky medicine! My only problem is that my other bunny who is not sick, has discovered how good this stuff is and races to clean out the bowl! I'm so glad I tried Sherwood. It is totally worth it. I wish the veterinarians would distribute this rather than the other stuff.

Rabbits love the smell and taste, great in emergencies as well as a treat for our senior.
It is reassuring to have this kit handy. We are custodians of a 7 year old and have been able to help a few lost bunnies find forever homes and this critical care has been so helpful in getting tummy troubles resolved. They all love the taste of this food and it smells like fresh hay. The complete nutrition this contains in a powder form is impressive. Usually all I have to do is mix one packet of the food with 1 1/2 Tablespoons of water to make it into a paste and the buns devour it. If a rescue is more dehydrated I do the sachet with 3-4 tablespoons of water and add the electrolyte powder right in and they have all drank/ate the mix readily out of a bowl. Haven't had to syringe feed yet. I will always keep this on hand, because I never know when it may be needed. As my existing supply gets closer to expiration, it is a safe and healthy treat so no waste.

Better than Oxbow Critical Care? Perhaps!
My rabbit absolutely hates Oxbow Cirtical care, I had to force feed it to her at one point. She never had an interest in even sniffing it. She's able to take any medication with ease, but the Oxbow Critical Care is the only thing I would have to wrestle her to take it. Meanwhile, I took a few packets of Sherwood Critical Care out of the bag and she was going nuts for this! This is quite promising, I am assuming she will be able to take this when she is in a dire situation. She is very prone to G.I. stasis as she's diagnosed with megacolon, but so far she doesn't need critical care yet. It is quite expensive, but if it means my rabbit will be able to eat it willingly then it's worth the money.

She likes it, it seems to help
I have a very large elder bun and she enjoys this! I provide her some whenever I suspect her tummy could have any trouble and she eats it off a saucer on her own. Iโm glad I can get a nice amount of it since my rabbit is so big and the fact the kit has everything it needs (including oral syringe) is fantastic. When youโre tired from dealing with stasis, itโs hard to ensure you acquire oral syringes. I only wish the syringe was easier to handle, as it feels kind of cheap and sometimes dispenses all at once.

Price is slightly High
This is good but I feel the price is a bit to expensive I wish they could reduce the price cause we don't have an emergency everytime and due to which I feel like the medicines inside become solid so idk if that's normal but ya. It does help whenever there is an emergency
