It turned out that after 3.5 years of daily use (I grind coffee with it almost every day), it has held up just fine. When it was new, the grinder cut coffee beans like butter. After a few months, I did notice that I needed to use a bit more force to grind the same beans. To me, it's acceptable given the inevitable wear and tear from daily use. Since then, the performance of this grinder became stable without further deterioration. In addition, during the first year, I dropped this grinder to the floor and caused a crack in the structure that holds the shaft and I was worrying about it would break apart soon. However, it did just fine for two years. One downside of this grinder is that it can only hold about 22-24 grams of beans at once. If I need stronger coffee, I will have to fill the beans, grind them, empty the container twice. Overall I am satisfied with this product.
