This extender will give p to 3 inches?

Never had to extend it for three inches did do it for two, it did stretch out that far with a really good tugging. Product did what it claimed to do.

How wide id the band?

The waistband is approximately 1.25” wide.

These items fit standard button hole sizes. I didn’t have any problems using any of the waist expanders I used.
