Wondering if I should put the part in the box or if I can leave it on the outside?** A: The sensor must be somewhere on the mat itself as it wouldn't make much sense to need all of that additional cable inside the container/vivarium. I have the mat only, inside my incubator (I am using the mat in a polystyrene box as an incubator for eggs) and it works fine. Use a thermometer to assess the internal temperature and whether it is correct or not.
